  1. Flap wheel on a drill works well if they are not too far gone .
  2. If you are an infrequent user you could use an Alkylate fuel such as Aspen or Huqvarnas own version . It can be left in the saw for long periods and has no Ethanol , won't attack the rubber components ( although it will show up what the pump fuel has done already ) wont give a headache and leaves the internals of the saw free from carbon . It won't remove carbon that is already there though . If you run a saw on Aspen from the get go and strip it down after a years contentious use there will be no carbon deposits and a minimal brown staining on the piston .
  3. Yep I like them . Use a 4 slot head but only put 2 lines in the bottom slots . The 4 slot head keeps the fixing nut under flush so won't dig in . ( the plastic cups come off to easily ) I use 4.00 mm square " Diamond edge " from desert extrusions , about 9 inches long . Hence no guard .
  4. Being half German , is that not a pre-existing condition mate ?
  5. Need a good breakfast ?
  6. Sorry , I thought you said youi fitted another flywheel I can see now you meant a new key . Still sounds like timimng thouigh . edit . Spud has suggested the key sheared again . i am thinking the same .

Its called air injection on a Husqvarna .
  11. They were back in the day . If you read the book " Sometimes a great notion " or , watch the film of the book entitled " Never give an inch " you will see Paul Newman at the top of a big stick with a Mac 895 or similar . They are just home owner stuff now . The big 125 are sought after now . They had the cart engine in them . Not huge revs but unbeatable torque .
  12. How the hell you are supposed to wipe your tradesman's entrance with pasta god only knows .
  13. Yep that would be good . Quite happy to be wrong mate .
  14. Mick , I actually don't believe that . The others , with no climber on them are upright . Just me . ?

Its a chain cover made from magnesium . just a wild shot ...
  17. Was it not just the climbers additional weight ?
  18. Could well have been made in the same factory as the OEM one on your " semi pro/home owner " saw . Edit .. Sorry not meant to diss the level of saw just pointing out that the manufacturing costs will have been kept down compared with , say a 550Xp
  19. I understood that Steve and was not having a pop at you bud . Just expressing my frustration . The whole situation is bonkers . If as you say those that did not stockpile before are doing it now with the others that did , and will again , there will be an even bigger/longer shortage . ... Damm , I need a poo .....
  20. Could well be but it is unnecessary . As Eggs says just shop as normal .
  21. Pissed down at about 4:00 am till 6:00 am now intermittent showers .
  22. Yes that fired and sounded normal to me . I would have shut the choke off immediately after that and expect it to run after the next couple of pulls .
  23. Sorry to hear this .
  24. Same here Eggs .
  25. I find Meindl slightly narrow but can were them . I also have Pfanner and find them comfortable fit wise if a little stiff .
