  1. So you say 🙂
  2. He might be one of those that fade away into the ether 🙂
  3. I like you have on the bench a 395XP a 390Xp a 372Xp a 560XP a 346XP a 242XP and a T540 . All with fuel in them that get used infrequently now but when pulled fire up with no problems .
  4. I agree with what you say but you are not quoting the OP so we don't know if they are putting a kettle on the stove in the pic .
  5. This is the same for me as I am retired from cutting now . Only difference is I use the Husqvarna version .
  6. Bring back Ronnie and Reggie I say 😁
  7. I have seen it before but like the OP I never knew what it was .
  8. And/or Hornbeam 🙂 ( maybe that is going back too far for you ? )
  9. Just need to figure out how to introduce fish in here and we have the complete thread .🙂
  10. You notice I refered to any alkylate fuel not one specific make .
  11. Ok once again . The pump fuel attacks the rubber removing the coating that is there to keep the rubber soft and supple . This is a slow process and because the rubber is being attacked it stays supple . Alkylate fuels wont attack the rubber . So , if you use a saw with alkylate fuel from the get go you will have no problems ( and cleaner engine internals ) If you switch to an alkylate fuel after years of pump fuel the rubber components become brittle and break down Because the coating has been removed and the alkylate fuel not attacking it . . This is the alkylate fuel showing up what the pump fuel has done . That's why it is some times prudent to change out the rubber before switching to alkylate fuel .
  12. I am going back possibly 20 years now but a farmer next to me grew a few acres of flaxc/linsead . I asked him why he did not harvest it and he told me he had got the subsidy and it was more economic to plough it back in .

  21. The only stipulation I could see was to use it for three months.
  22. Doobs you are correct of course . I use alkylate fuel now a days because I can . I don't use Aspen anymore as my dealer does not stock it but I use the husky equivalent . I mix the 4t stuff with my stock of Red Line racing 2t oil at 50:1 . I used to use petrol and have come to no harm but , I do feel better using alkylate fuel and so do my saws .
  23. Does the main soil pipe have to run up hill to any degree . Could be a sewage pump ...?
  24. Do you suffer from tinnitus maybe ?
