  1. yeah i have bought my own rather than wait till i have had my eyes grinded out with saw dust!
  2. I keep asking my employer for some glasses as the visor does naff all. Been told the visor is addequet! Not in my opinion. Last employer supplied them no questions asked.
  3. A slve.
  4. I had the runway enduros on my fourtrak and found them to be mainly pants in most situations. Pants in mud, they just get clogged up. Seriously lively in the wet, if you want to stop forget it, just steer for the hedge.
  5. Well I had to register self employed because somebody needed my utr number and it was a lot of work. Hoping to go full time self employed and ditch the empoyment as I had a eureka moment and worked out that I am on £65 a day before tax!!! Everybody loves working on the powerlines!!!!
  6. I am in my first year of self employment. I am also employed 5 days a week so just self employed àt the weekends. A self assesment tax return seems pretty daunting at the momoent.
  7. I did post leaflets some years ago when I used to do gardening, was quite successfull then but I was also too cheap.
  8. Hello, I am looking do up some a5 flyers to post door to door. I was wondering what sort of information do people include? Maybe you could post some examples. Cheers mark
  9. get the jensen 750 contractor. that thing is a sabre tooth tiger in cats clothing!! i suspect it is a bit pricey thou
  10. Those mulching blades are the bomb, next best thing to napalm!!!!!
  11. Yeah I use a chainsaw for mashing down brambles, when I don't have my brushcutter. It is far more efficent using a decent sized brushcutter stihl fs400 of bigger with the oregon bramble head. I have clearedlaerge plots down to mulch in no time at all. I can get through 1-2 inch trees and scrub with the bramble blade and bigger with the tri blade.
  12. 90 applicants is a low number compared to some of the numbers I have heard of (not forestry thou) A good work ethic will put you streets ahead of othere applicants. I offer to do a days work unpaid so the prespective empoyer can see how willing and capable I am.
  13. i buy 25l. lasts me 1-2 months easy to move around i just chuck the barrel in the back of the truck and take it to site to decant when i have run dry in the can.
  14. yes a chilling reminder how brutal this industry can be!!
  15. i have tryed me hand at making mushrooms. i find everyone likes the idea of having one but when it comes to parting with the cash it never happens.
  16. Open the top, release the springs then leaver the wood back out. Happens occasionaly on our jensen. More often than not it happens with dull blades.
  17. defo. looks good. shame we couldnt have one show casing the climbing scene in the uk.
  18. you cant educate pork! surely people cutting like this must be uneducated and i would hope they know no better. i learned what pruning cuts where in my first job and was backed up with a college course that i joined a few years later. I suppose that people never learned the correct technique so that is why they commit these massacres.
  19. Yeah, if it turns without the plug but not with, sounds like too long a reach plug. Same plug in both pots?
  20. i will give that a go tomorrow. Ideally i need the saw for a dismantle on sat but failing that i can borrow my friends 020.
  21. okay, need a bit of advice. my ms200t is not oiling properly. If you run it up with out the side cover on you can see oil coming out but i presume it is not oiling enough as the chain is running, pretty much, dry. the bar is fairly new and is nice and clean so the problem goes back to the pump or filter. the worm gear seems to be in good condition. i have rinsed the oil tank with petrol but that did not help. i have been quoted £40ish:thumbdown: so wanted some advice from the o wise ones. And does the price sound alright?? thanks in advance:thumbup:
  22. i had the same/ similar problem on an older 357xp. it ran spot on, never missed a beat until i changed the fuel tank/ back handle. after the swap it would only start if i poured in petrol through the carb and would only run if i had it full throttle. As soon as you let off it died. tryed two different carbs and had the same problem. took it took local tech and he sorted but couldnt remember what the problem was. on the receipt it had a new crank seal so not sure what the prob was
  23. My dad has been using the wolf compressors, profesionally, for a good few years. I think he started off with a 50 litre and had no probs. He now has a larger one and is gooood
  24. good luck to um
  25. tips of the trade!! i, myself, am leaning towards getting a couple of the metal wedges. me thinks the advice is brill.
