    Have had couple of full electric days recently (excluding travel and chipper) using a 10" top handle and 14" makita ground saw. 4 pairs of 5ah batteries, charger was in customers garage from lunchtime onwards both days, but easily doable if there is a power source. No one had to wait for a battery to charged, most timber was cut to metre lengths. So I'd say it's not so far off being feasible being fully electric in 10years

    I have a makita dcs4600 and ea5000p for sale if your after second hand. If not I hope you find a gooden. Personally I rate the pro makita stuff ( better than the farmer grade stihl/ husky). But overall prefer echo to makita ( only really used there too handles though no echo 50cc saws).

    Hi jase, Afraid it's still leaking whenever working on a slight incline. Be great if you could have a look for parts for breather mod. Filter change made no difference by the way. Thanks

    Sounds very like the diffs were tight from being driven on tarmac in 4x4. Really not very good for them. Can take quite a bit of reversing and going forward on soft ground to loosen off before you can drop into 2h again

    I've found the small echos to be decent. Had a 360tes ( top handle version of 360wes) since 2016, no issues at all. Bought a 2700wes second hand for carving, very light and again no issues at all. The 2511wes looks a good hedge layer. Been using makita cordless for a while. Like it, powerful enough ( the 36v ones are what you want unless pruning).     Also worth noting I reckon the 043 1/4 chains want to run a bit slacker than bigger chains or the rails ware real fast

    Pal of mine cant log on here for some reason as asks the arbtalk massif; "changing the taxation class of a 4x4 crane Lorry from HGV to agricultural Going to run a PTO winch and chipper off it as well and it will be predominantly for golf course and estate work but will need to move it between sites." So anyone done this recently?

    I'd say 300 for a very good condition one is about right. I am trying to sell a 550 with light use and havent had many nibbles at 325. You may find one for 250 or 275 mind.

    Archer? Tried a few loops of theirs and never managed to sharpen them before they snapped. I wrote them off as junk. Let me know if this isnt your experience
