  1. I know I can mate, but I'm employed, so I won't be the one buying it! I basically need to be able to email them a link and they'll order it. If I start asking them to call up a supplier, order a rope from the states, pay extra for a splice etc I'll be called a prima donna and end up with a length of 3 strand! I'll be buying some CB for my personal line soon
  2. I'm assuming the customer was in, otherwise that would have been a fell?
  3. I'd be interested in the definitive best Tachyon for the BDB. I use DDRT currently with a view to buying on of these soon (sounds like it's worth the extra when a wrench and tether comes to nearly £150 with VAT. I'm due a new line but it needs to be easily ordered from a main supplier for the boss's ease, which puts Cougar Blue out, and it needs to come with a splice as standard, since I won't use a knot with DDRT. I've been thinking the Teufelberger Tachyon, unless there are any better alternatives?
  4. Round here a "pork pie" is a vajayjay.
  5. A pulleysaver chokes to a tree effectively. It's a really good technique for DDRT. If you set your block up well it should not slip to the extent where your main line in compromised.
  6. **** How much will that cost me? I realise this may not be helping much.
  7. For gods sake, I tried to ID a pic from a thumbnail. Ignore me, I'm drinking.
  8. Looks like Elaeagnus x Ebbingei. Nothing wrong with the leaf. Normally very dusty. Be careful trimming. Of course I might be wrong, it's been a while since I topped one..,
  9. Long term parking for the Bentley must be a killer. Time to start charging! For the record: if I were ever banned, I'd have to actually talk to my girlfriend. Wouldn't be long before I commit suicide. Contributor or not, you'll have that on your conscience, Bullman!
  10. Yeah, but I was done touching myself 3 hours ago.
  11. Is that a philosophy question?
  12. I hear that the Teufelberger Tachyon is the lowest stretch. From something DrewB said you'll die if you use the a Orange one. Or the Orange one is more stretch because if the dye Something to do with dye anyway,
  13. It's the voice of one and not the many mate. If someone acts like a pillock (I'm being extra careful with my language in this thread!) then they get told so. Nothing to do with who's donated what. You must be getting minted off all that Children's Trust money eh?
  14. You're just lucky I didn't say Muslim...
  15. You wouldn't have forgotten if I wasn't Black.
  16. No, that's what I run. I wonder if I could run the same but in 3:8ths. I doubt I could get a 3/8 small bar mount and 3/8 small spline sprocket?
  17. It's an open forum for advice. If a person comes on for tips about sharpening are you going to wish ill fortune on them for not taking it to a dealer?! Why the hell shouldn't he process his own firewood? I cook my own food because I don't want to pay someone else to do it. People like you making comments like that can really make this forum seem unattractive to newcomers.
  18. The point being made was that if you can't manage to even have a go with a piece of kit that is so very slightly different to the last one it makes no difference, then maybe climbing isn't the right job. I don't think there have been any offensive remarks made, except by the OP. Jokes made in good taste, sure. If some people look hard enough they can take offense anywhere. I tried my best to give reasonable answers, but it seems that no matter what I said the guy had already made up his mind. Makes me feel like not bothering.
  19. How do you reckon a 550 13" 8 pin would handle it?
  20. What!? In this day of scientific and medical achievement where practically everything is replaceable 63 is barely middle aged! Don't go thinking that just because you remember a time when you could buy a house for ten shillings and shooting Germans was a sport that it gives you the right to retire, talk about how it was in "your day" and start drinking bitter! Get back up them trees young man!
  21. I'm gonna regret this, but I'm guessing 'firkin' bears similarities towards "mirkin"? Least you had your day mate, I'm 26, and weigh 9.5 stone, with a 28" waist and a pigeon chest
  22. Second that. The Cs are fine up until it gets properly warm, like shirt off weather!
  23. That's essentially what an enema does.
