  1. An entrepreneur who believes in capitalism!? I've seen it all now!
  2. Yeah, well I had coffee from a flask. 3 Sainsbury's large cookies, 2 pork and sweet onion sausage rolls, and a packet of garlic and herb chicken. Breakfast was 2 cups of filter coffee and two roll ups. Proper French style. 'Ave that!
  3. Do you have any problems with excess cover, having both ends spliced? I milked over 1 metre of excess cover from my Blaze when I got it. If I'd had it spliced both ends it would have had nowhere to go!
  4. I don't, I'm 5'8", 26, and 9.5 stone. I was 10 stone but viral gastroenteritis sorted that out!
  5. Talk about "Laws" which are apparently "statutes" or "acts" instead? Sorry, couldn't resist
  6. When I'm good I make a smoothie in the morning with bananas, blueberries and a good couple of teaspoons of peanut butter. Tried having steak and eggs for breakfast once (even got up early) and physically couldn't manage to swallow it. Lunch is chicken or mackerel usually, twice a day. That sounds disgusting Steve. Healthy I'm sure, but I'll bet it's a frothy pond water like concoction. I used to make a "5 a day smoothie" with spinach, kale, purple sprouting broccoli, orange and something else, with a few eggs for good measure. I could practically chew it. It didn't taste as bad as I thought, but the effect it had on my bowels meant I didn't dare fart for the rest of the day!
  7. Haha To be honest I don't really find it any harder on the hands.
  8. Only DDRT for now, gonna play with SRT some time this year
  9. Haha brilliant. I'm not racist mind...
  10. I think that just about sums up business. I'd go for a 12m lift and a 4m reduction. Maybe a 30% thin for good measure It is a lovely tree though.
  11. Marlow is cack. I've used 13mm before and it's rubbish compared to 11mm. Currently using 11mm Blaze or 11mm Velocity. 8mm ArmorPrus tied loose.
  12. I'm a professional tree worker thus I don't touch trees unless they beg me...
  13. I've never met a 16 year old interested in "lemon party"
  14. Those tape slings are NOT suitable for neg rigging! I've bust one resulting in a very near miss and quite a bit of damage! Even a cut off of old climbing line would be a better means of attachment. I'm using 11mm Climb line currently, but tonight I'm splicing some 13mm tenex up for my small rigging pulley.
  15. Those pulleys are pretty flipping solid. I'd use a hefty piece of rope to attack the pulley/crab to the stem with. As well as being stronger than a tape sling, you can get the pulley right up to the stem to minimise shock loading. If the lad on the ground isn't using friction they you'll want as little drop as possible. Don't forget that the forces involved are amplified by negative rigging, so even a 30kg piece is quite capable of sending your groundy flying. Hard to say without seeing it but I would only rig if I absolutely had no alternative in your situation. I can fit stuff into some pretty tight spaces when needs must!
  16. No sleeping with him for another two years. Don't ask how I know.
  17. Not had a problem with them myself, and I've given mine some abuse. For the price of Powermatch you may as well go for Sugi like Stubby said.
  18. I think oregon make husky bars at 20" or over, they make their own small bars.
  19. Oregon
  20. It specifies "side impact" which a climbing lid offers, as opposed to only impact from above, which is what a ground lid is designed for.
  21. Normal hose would do me.
  22. I would imagine that as they're not part of the life support system it shouldn't affect LOLER either way. If you do sew it back make sure you don't end up altering any of the load bearing parts to avoid any doubt. Lad I work with wears a TM which the elastic has come undone on, never bothered to reattach it. Philistine I reckon, but it works for him!
  23. Two questions: Was she looking over your shoulder when you typed that? Was it a Cranberry Juice?
  24. My first proper attempt. Gotta finish it with whipping etc. The OP was an absolute pig. Halved the fid lengths on that. Wouldn't have been able to otherwise.
  25. Not that I've found! Helluva lot cheaper than buying eye to eyes too! Mind you my current AP hitch must be going on four months old now!
