  1. My experience of the 135 also. The 181 is far better. Great saws to give groundies too.
  2. Virgin Birches are a pleasure to reduce. I get a lot of re-re-re-reductions on Birches and they're a pain. The client struggles to accept that"outside of the previous points" is best. Told one this week that the next time they call us I'll be felling it.
  3. What's the price difference?
  4. You can have my RW/HC/Tether for £200+vat
  5. Why a mistake Mark? Either can type will be overloaded, so legally you're shafted anyway. A double cab looks a lot more practical, for the same (illegal) capacity.
  6. Ropes get washed when they get dragged through lawn sausages, crabs and stuff when they're not functioning. Wasn't referring to you. I know people who wash their kit every week!
  7. I've never understood people obsessively cleaning their climbing kit. Someone on FB posted instructions on how to clean and maintain their Hitchclimber. I could barely hold back my disdain. Actually, I didn't.
  8. Why Durolock? The trip action ones drop you often?
  9. Obviously you'd have a lanyard and main line. Thought you were saying that when spiking up to the casualty you had to have your lanyard backed up with your mainline. Back when I did mine, it was spike up beneath the casualty, (didn't need your mainline tied to the stem), set up false anchor above casualty, proceed as usual.
  10. Do you need a secondary attachment if you're not cutting? A pulley saver/ropeguide works really well.
  11. You can't swap it out for an xsre? Gotta get one for myself.
  12. Only 6 days a week Matty? I bet you don't work more than 10 hours a day either. You're part time mate!
  13. A simple mini swing check is fine for slack tending on a lanyard. Cheap too.
  14. Cocaine, Stefan. There will always be the cynics that say it's not the answer. They're just not taking enough.
  15. Haha what idiots. Glad you're not one of them. I can sell you one for £700. I'll forget the vat. Mates rates and all.
  16. If you're gonna do it, do it right. If I can do a loud fart in the succeeding month, it was inadequate.
  17. Legally, I have no idea. Morally, it depends. If I were to have an injury due to someone else's kit malfunctioning on me, I might feel aggrieved. Then again it's my choice to use that kit and I should know if it's safe. I certainly wouldn't bitch about a flesh wound. I have sued for inadequate sexual harassment though.
  18. Were the hedge trimmers to blame? Or the Operative?
  19. Have you bought a little topper yet? Or are you our new resident tyre kicker?
  20. If you haven't got a clue mate, don't comment
  21. Reckon I'll buy the 280 Rob, one of the lads will have it. So just to clarify, will the 2511 be sent out with the Sugi bar or that cack one?
  22. Nah. Rootball was left as habitat. Was gonna leave the whole lot, but seemed pretty wasteful.
  23. Been splitting some Black Walnut today. 30" dia and a 9' stem made a fair bit of firewood.
  24. We have one that must be going on 9 years.
