  2. I use yale hedera the srt version. Jesus I find it hard on the hands though. Doesn't hold knots great either. Wouldn't mind picking up something else if anyone has any good suggestions?

  4. I'm looking at getting a child's harness for a 4 year old. The petzl on looks good. What's the best way to set a child up in the tree? What system do people use?

  6. I was deadwood in oaks today and was able to Base tie in one tree and then from it, using redirects through other limbs, do 3 other oaks. They were tall woodland trees. The last one was a horrible hoor which without srt would have been difficult for me.

  8. Thanks for the advice lads. Id like a bit of honey but I'm not into taking all the honey from them and just replacing it with sugar which isn't very good for them.
  9. Does anyone use horizontal top bar hives? I'm planning to build one. I think from what I've been reading they are better for the bees as the comb is constructed more naturally.
  10. Thinning out hemlock today on a exposed site. Got soaked before panad and then it started snowing. Horrible to work in and getting fed up getting wet everyday. Luckily have a bit of plastering coming up.

  18. The wall I done over the last couple of days. It took ages to get a decent platform to build off. Put 2 ton of lime to dust and 8 bags of cement in the mix so it should stay up:)
  19. I'm in north Wales as well and it's tough at the minute. With the power line cutting g having stopped there are a lot of people looking for work.
  20. I've just got a tree motion it's a right huar for sliding down. It's hard to get it to sit high like the treemagic did
  21. Great insects, seen one gnawing at a piece of wood today must of been going to use it to make a nest.
  22. Really slow when we moved but not getting climbing with a couple of people and getting my own work. Most of mynownvwork is gardening but it's alright mixed in with the tree work. Doing a nice bit of walling as well.
  23. 1st wedding anniversary as well so treated great!
  24. They have tried to sex up countryfile by putting that idiot Matt baker on it. It was far better when it was on on Sunday mornings.
