  2. These pine cones can be deadly and also good for making pesto
  3. first pic you can just make me out in the second palm from the left. The 2nd and 3rd are before and after shots but not so great positioning from the camera man
  4. The big boys get a chance to play in the trees after a weeks course on the working at heights law in Italy, great fun, i wish i was a kid again

  6. Yea i google places with volcanoes all the time bit of a volcano junkie... Iceland is paradise for me and cant wait to go back there but there is hardly any trees so no thoughts of going there to stay plus its expensive, not as expensive as going to NZ though

  11. First off its a peach right? second its peach leaf curl right? needing confirmation on that so i know i am not making a booboo. Third thing is best way to treat it?? I was reading up and here is what i have found so far... the infected leaves should be taken off as soon as they appear to decrease the spread of the fungus for next year, then a cover of plastic sheeting from january to may to keep emerging shoots dry. Then Fungicides containing copper (Vitax Bordeaux Mixture, Fruit and Vegetable Disease Control) to be sprayed in autumn just before leaf fall and twice, two weeks apart, in late January and early February. What do you all think? Is there other methods you have tried and tested?

  14. Spot on with location of the mountain The Fjord is a proper Norwegian one but i cant remember the name of it either i will post it when it comes back to me
  15. Another before and after thinning job. This is only a small part you can see as the job went all the way up the hill. Hot and sweaty that one and a few nasty ant encounters i remember vividly
  16. Thanks mate I need to get me some more before and after photos, i keep forgetting to do them or they just dont come out right because i did them from different positions. I will post a few others i have...

  19. I was inspired by SJH's thread "recent pics from here and there" and decided it was time i stopped using other peoples threads to post my pics. So here it is Feel free to post any comments, good or bad, and any pics you want as well. I hope you like... First off is my favourite mountain. I love this beast and have spent many a happy day climbing or walking up and around it. Its not the best photo but its mine and thats what counts lets see if anyone else knows what its called and where it is.
