  1. No need, a few clicks and a diminished bank balance later the stuff arrives at the door without having to sit in the car for 4 hours:thumbup1:
  2. Just had a look on your website and the prices are looking good, i may change supplier Your still miles away though:001_rolleyes:
  3. Not that far? are you kidding? thats about 2 hours away! that distance just to try on a harness or 2 seems a bit extreme. Although if i am ever passing i may pop in for a look. I will PM my address for a catalogue anyway and may get you to send me some goodies next time i need if your prices are good.
  4. there may be but i dont know it, i am not long here in Edinburgh so dont know many local traders. I just get my stuff online to save the hastle.
  5. SGM Contracts LLP SGM House Belleknowes Industrial Estate, Inverkeithing Fife, Scotland KY11 1HZ Bit pricey but you can go and try on the harnesses at least and they may give you a better price if you tell them you found it cheaper on the net.
  6. I had 2 buzzards drying their wings while sitting on a half dead ash yesterday, it was a cracking sight and when i got my camera they were still there so i was extra happy till i realised the batteries were dead! that would have been my best photo ever aarrrggghh! bloomin batteries.
  7. too much exhaust fumes! and stop drinking your 2 stroke thinking its apple and blackcurrant robinsons.
  8. Glad to hear it
  9. David thats a cracking shot with the tree lying across the 2 cars
  10. mike you just went all rouge trader on us, next it will have honey fungus and all the trees in the neighbourhood will have to come down.
  11. now were rockin
  12. Looks like a £100 to £150 job going by the photos. Anyone doing it for less is only ripping themselves off and making our job even more difficult to make any money on. Overheads are silly nowadays and hiring a highly trained professional costs money anyway. You try getting a job done by a plumber or plasterer or electrician etc and see how much they charge, and thats without risking their lives every day. Some of them wont even come to your house without charging £50 call out first. Bob you need to give your pricing a boot in the backside.
  13. first time i have ever seen anyone using a saw wearing a waistcoat and chinos
  14. waaaaahahahahaaaaah:lol::lol:
  15. Here is another you might like... Encyclopedia of Life
  16. is this actually serious? he wants someone to destroy their own saw trying to cut through steel?
  17. Visibility is important yes. sorry i was just having a bit of a crack with you all
  18. Oh dear Hama your slipping:001_tt2: twice in one thread as well
  19. Wow your all like a bunch of ladies nattering about the colour of a dress! Is it comfy? Does it work? thats all you need, colour is of no importance unless you are a girl or a fashion victim.
  20. Napalm?
  21. That was "natural selection" at its best:001_rolleyes:
  22. seems a shame to cut it right back looking at it there, could you not just take in all the longer branches to where the crown gets tight. that way would be easier to pull them off the top and you would still have the tree.
  23. Best option i have heard so far
  24. I thinned and reduced a hawthorn that sounds about exactly the same as yours about 3 weeks ago. You will swear a lot and be pulling the tips of thorns out your skin for a few days afterwards. Its up to you how you want to go ahead with it and if you decide to cut it to a stump then that will sprout from just about everywhere. I am not a great fan of hawthorn to work on but they make good looking small trees. If you cut it to a stump it wont look as good anymore but you could do some creative topiary on it to cover up the ugliness of the stump.
