  3. at least they never filled it in around the tree as well, but that will fill in naturally with dirt etc from the roads i suppose

  9. i never even noticed that:laugh1: i think its just a part of the helmet you can see i normally stop working if i am smoking so i dont think its a smoke but you never know:blushing:
  10. A few boarding pics... first 2 are down the back of Mont Blanc in the Valle Blance and the last one was cat boarding in Fernie, Canada.
  11. wow the lightning blew off a ton of bark!! thats a nasty hit. Yea its the buchaille but your too late Its actually Stob Dearg as the Buachaille Etive Mor is a collection of 4 peaks with Stob Dearg being the looker at the end
  12. Couple of shots out in the canoe on loch lomond.
  13. cool it was 4th on my search when you posted and now its 3rd already
  14. This was a camping trip i had with a couple of my mates. See if you can guess where we are. The last pic with my mate jumping always sticks in my mind cos he cant swim it was a committed jump anyway but for him if he fluffed it would mean us getting wet as well fishing him out:001_rolleyes:
  15. Not the best quality pics these 2 but i like em, my eye had it but the fingers didnt.
  16. You may be shocked to hear this from me but good job See i am not completely against it in the right circumstances but you cant really say its a proper topping/pollarding its more a real heavy reduction for a purpose well done and good save...
  17. there is always an approximate finish time but thats all it is. You must know as well as i that some jobs you think are only going to take 1 hour then 3 hours later your still tidying it up cursing under your breath that you misjudged it AGAIN! Approximate finish time is very flexible in our job and if your missus feeds the dog your dinner because you didnt come home exactly when you said then maybe its time you changed your missus. I am not getting at you Billy in particular I just see this a lot with people complaining that they are not getting to go home because the job ran on an hour or 2 more than expected. We need to be flexible and try not to give the missus a time you will be home cos you know it doesnt work like that. "I will be home when i am home dear just cover my dinner and i will get it when i get back". Maybe i am just lucky and got an understanding missus
  18. Is that not the norm for our work anyway? How can you set an exact finish time when the job may run on an extra hour or 2? I never expect an exact finish time from anyone that hires me. If i have to work an extra few hours then thats cool i expect it, the next time i work for them i may get home a few hours earlier. Thats how we roll and its the norm swings and roundabouts.
  19. This one is from the same job as my avatar... if it wasnt for those pesky phone wires!
  20. Ok thanks pgk and Gerrit that kinda confirms everything i was thinking.... doesnt look like its going to be easy to get rid of but seems possible.
  21. i saw some cold water swimmers in Iceland last year and thought they must have a screw loose! not for me matey i hate cold water.
  22. Looks to me like a hand saw cut as well but with all the effort you would need to cut through that trunk with a hand saw, these kids must have been on more than buckfast!! Be on the lookout for kids with wild staring eyes and a strong urge to fly plus a heavy musky sweat smell...
  23. Damn and i was thinking beech as well but couldnt believe your hands were actually that small Good one stumped me enough to keep me quiet anyway
