  1. ooh that would be real nasty. you may have to challenge him to a duel
  2. Unfortunately most people are looking for experience more than anything so it will be a hard slog for you. Try offering yourself for free for a day or 2 to some of your local companies and working your butt off if they take you on to show your willing and able. Other than that i cant think of anything else at the moment. Moving to another location wont help unless you have companies interested in you there already, you will find it pretty much the same everywhere. Your cousin with the HGV license will have a better chance if he also had his CS tickets because i think a lot of companies would kill for an HGV driver with saw tickets as well. Biggest thing is just keep trying and dont get yourself down about it, you just got to be patient and something will turn up eventually if you work hard at it.
  3. Dont know anything about a new system but i use my climbing line with a running bowline choked on the pole and attached to a grigri. I use this in conjunction with my flipline and it works great. Especially when you need to go round the pole and its at a sloping angle, you can use the choked climbing line to stop you swinging round the pole. Also you can use it to get down easily and it can be retrieved by tying another line or the tail of the climbing line to the loop in the running bowline, then you just pull that when you get to the ground to retrieve your rope. Any help?
  4. No worries Customer called you, not you calling the customer and stepping on toes. All good and above board if you ask me.

  11. Sorry for deviating from the thread slightly but i also found this nasty beast in Milazzo which has no face that i could see but if you fell against it you could leave your face stuck to it i guess Any guesses as to the name of it? lets just say its common name is not what you would think...
  12. The ball and chain was working in Milazzo close to there and i went along just for the hell of it Great place though, I also went to Stromboli while we were there, where the volcano is in a constant state of eruption (every 10 minutes or so). I would recommend it for a holiday destination, there is lots of cool stuff to see and the food is fantastic:thumbup:
