  8. Heres a few pics from when i was staying in Italy...
  9. I almost made the same mistake yesterday till i read it a few times, i thought yea i am up for a weeks work anywhere then realised it wasnt to be
  10. I keep the leg loops loose as well (mostly cos i have skinny legs). I also nip my butt sometimes between the leg loops and the back support when walking. I dont know if anyone else has done this either but the elastic that holds the leg loops at the back sometimes catches on twigs etc and comes back at you with a welt giving force, thats a pain in the butt literally. All that said i think its the best harness i have ever used and will find it hard using anything else now
  11. your not getting the "its not what you would think" bit ok i will give a big clue as to its name.... luxury clothing material and string for cleaning your teeth:001_rolleyes:

  18. your at it again with the fern lashes but i will give you 10 out of 10 for trying
  19. Cant you partner up with someone that does the same thing? you help him with his jobs and he helps you with yours... no need to look for extra work cos 2 heads doing the hunting and 2 heads doing the work. problem solved till you fall out
  20. I doubt anyone would be able to tell you the best way to approach it unless they have walked the site as well. 500 acres is a big site and would need to be looked at carefully. Only thing i can say is if you need any cutters for more than a week or so i would give you my services for £100 a day plus expenses good luck
  21. ooh that would be real nasty. you may have to challenge him to a duel
  22. Unfortunately most people are looking for experience more than anything so it will be a hard slog for you. Try offering yourself for free for a day or 2 to some of your local companies and working your butt off if they take you on to show your willing and able. Other than that i cant think of anything else at the moment. Moving to another location wont help unless you have companies interested in you there already, you will find it pretty much the same everywhere. Your cousin with the HGV license will have a better chance if he also had his CS tickets because i think a lot of companies would kill for an HGV driver with saw tickets as well. Biggest thing is just keep trying and dont get yourself down about it, you just got to be patient and something will turn up eventually if you work hard at it.
  23. Dont know anything about a new system but i use my climbing line with a running bowline choked on the pole and attached to a grigri. I use this in conjunction with my flipline and it works great. Especially when you need to go round the pole and its at a sloping angle, you can use the choked climbing line to stop you swinging round the pole. Also you can use it to get down easily and it can be retrieved by tying another line or the tail of the climbing line to the loop in the running bowline, then you just pull that when you get to the ground to retrieve your rope. Any help?
