  1. I was inspired by SJH's thread "recent pics from here and there" and decided it was time i stopped using other peoples threads to post my pics. So here it is Feel free to post any comments, good or bad, and any pics you want as well. I hope you like... First off is my favourite mountain. I love this beast and have spent many a happy day climbing or walking up and around it. Its not the best photo but its mine and thats what counts lets see if anyone else knows what its called and where it is.
  2. Nice photos i might do the same thing and save hogging other peoples threads!
  3. Looks like your average Rome bike trip to me except there is less cars pulling out in front of you. I got a lift from someone who drove like this through the traffic, when we reached our destination i told him if he ever does that again with me on the back i will stick my chainsaw in his guts. Needless to say he never did that with me on the bike ever again. I think it is very stupid but it is also very common to see this, just not in the UK, probably because we are scared of our own shadows these days which is good but also bad in my opinion.
  4. Looks kinda like the scream mask:thumbup1:
  5. I never take painkillers because i would like to know when i am hurting it more! never been a great fan of them and half of them dont work anyway if you really are in a lot of pain.
  6. Ok just one more but i was too distracted to be taking sunset shots in fact i almost wet myself
  7. mine has a button just above the pad on the rim of it that deactivates it
  8. I would say bed rest is probably the worst thing you can do for it! i always feel worse after been in bed for too long. Try lying on a flat surface with your legs up on a chair(hips and knees at 90 degree angles), thats good for some quick relief but obviously not a cure. Never lay on your belly cos that really does make it worse. Most of all if i was you i would go get a second opinion cos i have never heard anyone being told to lay in bed resting for a bad back.
  9. Here is a couple more then I have so many photos of so many different places and sunsets i could be here all day searching my hard drive and posting my finds but i will leave it at this for now cos i dont want to hog the thread:001_rolleyes: both of these are from Italy 1st one i cant remember where exactly and the 2nd is in Sardegna.
  10. I have been using Haix for the last 10 years or so and have never had a single problem with them. I will continue to buy them because they are comfy hard wearing and waterproof and thats all i need
  11. Nice little robin that was searching for grub in the mess we were making:thumbup1:
  12. :lol::lol:
  13. thanks:001_smile: its a fujifilm finepix S5700 which is mostly always set to automatic cos i am pretty useless with manual settings:blushing: I just have a good eye for a photo but not the talent to pull it off.
  14. Great thread and some great photos as well:thumbup: Here is my addition, the first 2 are from Iceland shortly after the eruption and the second 2 are from Sicily the last of which on Stromboli volcano which you can see smoking away:thumbup1: In case you never noticed i like volcanoes
  15. i think they are one and the same you never only get robbed once, it is always twice when the insurance company (who are supposed to help) rip you off as well.
  16. careful and not turn the high up too much or you can blow the engine, i know a guy we used to call cesar cos he ceased so many by doing just that.
  17. I think jack is off doing a tariff to see what hes got, maybe he set up home in a caravan in the middle of the site. Either that or he got scared off by the first few posts...
  18. look at the trees, shadows and other movements around it and you can see its on a time lapse..... it must be slower than the caterpillar its copying
  19. not even nearly worried... at first i thought it would be good to get your rope up in the tree but when i realised how slow it is i figured i could put my rope up and set up ropes for a another 2 or 3 climbers before it even reached the first branch! i think that needs a few more years in the development before its even thought about as worrying. It is cool though:thumbup1:
  20. haha you know in some bizarre way your right:lol:
  21. if we both got knocked out i would make sure lassie was close by. but what if lassie got hit by lightning just before she reached the sheriffs office? hmm i see your point, better than nothing.
  22. do they have hand held devices to detect when the bullet will pass through their skull? telling you snipers are the way forward
  23. thats how i started:thumbup1: thats why i did the "bravo :congrats:" I really wanted to work outside so i went up into the woods one day (well a few days) looking for people working in the forests and asked for a job. 20 years later my body aches quite a bit but i am still soooo glad i did it that given the chance i would do it all again, maybe avoiding the odd hawthorn and other jaggy bushes and trees:thumbup1:
