  1. You have 4x100 PCs wheels on your trailer. The same size as: golf mk1,2,3 lupo, polo and their Audi and seat counterparts, mk1 and 2 fiestas, capris and some escorts, Suzuki swift, daihatsu alto, Honda civic, Renault clio. Mazda mx5 and many many more... Flag one down sweet talk them into letting you gave their spare, pay them handsomely, sorted.
  2. If it us leaking from there you have quite a serious issue... Its an AV rubber, the white bit is a cover/locking plug. It can be levered out with a big screwdriver. Its probably just leaking a little after some oil you spilled when filling it ran in there? Clean it up and leave it for a while (overnight) on a newspaper. You'll be able to see if it actually leaks or not. For comparison sake, put a single drop and a teaspoon full of chain oil on the newspaper in a different spot. It will give you an indication of how much oil it has actually lost if it does leak. Its amazing how big an area one single drop can spread to!
  3. Hot air, then a strong solvent to remove any remaining adhesive.
  4. Just guessing here, but as the thread title is "Oswestry Wood" I reckon he's probably near Aberdeen?
  5. Engelbert Strauss do longer leg versions, good value, comfy and cool (well, not cool but as cool as it gets).
  6. Contact Justin Kingwell? He's on here as well: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members/justinkingwell.html
  7. Alec!, John! This is completely unacceptable! You can't discuss a chainsaw driven tool in an open forum without telling the rest of us what is actually is! It is infuriating:blushing: Best guess so far is one of those debarker/planer attachments?
  8. My wife recently bought a "g wiz" which is classed as a "heavy quadricycle". Bought it for £310 in eBay. We were baffled by insurance quotes up to £18K! Cheapest we found was £420 with Admiral in the end. This is for an electric "quad" with a top speed of just over 40mph (faster if you drop it from a helicopter) cannot go further than 20m and is honestly the ugliest vehicle I've ever seen. Though to be honest its quite giggle-inducing to drive and my daughters can both drive it (it helps that we live quite remote as they're just 6...)
  9. I believe if can make your "caps lock" button stick. :)
  10. I knew the Japanese were keen on gardens and bonsai, but I seem to remember reading on here not that long ago about Japans first "proper" climbing arborist? It would be great to compare techniques and maintenance and pruning regimes. No chance of me going though, family and money being the two issues. I envy those that can take this opportunity and wish you all the best.
  11. The traditional choice for a head would be (crab)apple, got any in a hedge? Mine is Crab, just a section of trunk with a branch growing at the right place for a handle. Can't get a more robust tool than that!
  12. I'd check the clutch first with those symptoms. It has an inboard clutch(?). See if it'll start without bar and chain as a quick check. If it does, check the clutch.
  13. No contact at TDC does not mean no contact once the saw I'd starting to warm up, unevenly as they do.... I unintentionally found this out in an expensive way before now. A safe minimum measurement would be .5mm of squish.
  14. No pics of exhaust (it doesn't really muffle...) But I can take some later perhaps. Yes the carb needs adjusting afterwards, mine had limiters on which I bypassed with the ignorant approach. (Turn it against limiter, then turn it some more...then turn it to and fro a few times. Not much finesse but quick and effective) The flappy wheel I've had for eons, and I'm not sure it was a "proper" dremel one, it may well have been a drill attachment, but the shank fits.
  15. Thanks, I ground the baffle with a metal milling type head on the dremel and finished it with a flappy emery wheel. Its quite easy to do, and doesn't take long to do or get to.
  16. Here's mine, before and after. When I did the baffles I did a muffler (gentle ) mod too. The difference in how the saw goes is quite incredible!
  17. So do you both
  18. You may think it's funny, or perhaps you do not realise how this comes across, this is your issue to contend with. Any replies you've given so far to anyone you feel has been even slightly criticising you, end up with you making excuses. It make you come across like a knob. And though this here forum is not a popularity contest, and there is no need to be best friends with everybody, it would do you good to remind yourself of the fact that you're asking a random collection of strangers for help. Nobody here is under any obligation to do anything to help you in any way....
  19. Fixed that for you, ban the word but from any reply you give. Make no excuses, however valid you feel they may be.
  20. As the weather gets warmer and dryer the chances of cracking and splitting increases quite a bit, especially when in sunlight.
  21. As a Dutchman, can I follow this "revelation" by informing you there is no country called Holland... There is the Netherlands, a country of twelve provinces of which just two are called (north and South) Holland.
  22. Hello, It has just been brought to my attention this very morn that a site I've been working a for a while (clearing scrub and trees on about 1/2 an acre, planting a hedge and laying hedge where possible) may not belong to my client! If this were so, it would most likely be council/highways owned. A very irate neighbour came round and "informed" me of this. Now, I'm very near finished and have heard nothing from any official body though I've been working roadside since Jan. If I continue, would I be held liable? I feel that having acted in good faith and my work has been an improvement to the site even in the eyes of said objecting irate neighbour, my actions so far were reasonable. Any advice welcome on how to proceed...
  23. Did they have patios in the 1500's?
  24. I think petzl's "alveo" comes with extra padding to make it fit smaller heads. Not sure on how small though.
  25. Surely the video shows how adaptable it is, showing off in how many ways it can be adjusted and calibrated, rather than all these steps being necessary for each cut. There us no way a chop saw will be anywhere near as fast or easy when cutting accurate angles over 6" on big timbers.
