  1. Reconditioned Old Billhooks WWW.OLDTOOLSTORE.CO.UK Old billhooks are becoming increasingly hard to come by and nice ones tend to sell quite quickly...
  2. What ever you fit be it a thumb and bucket or grab lift capacity will go down, but it's easier then moving stuff by hand.
  3. While waiting to be picked up after an evenings deer stalking, a gentleman was waling his dog up the road and I was standing just behind hedge and near gateway he was talking on his phone to his bit on the side it sounded like, anyway I sneezed just as he got level with me you have never heard a man scream so load must of deafened her on other end of phone. I never spoke nether did he.
  4. If my brother is with me at a customer I have done work for in pass he always looks at me to find out what I ask for. One of my customers makes a great mug of coffee, and an old lady I ve work for makes great tea, found out she was tea lady on trains years ago. Years ago did a garden clearance job, Lady of the house how was Irish asked if we would like some tea yes please we replied out it came in mugs and was placed on Land rover wing good cupper. anyway husband was home second day and wife out playing golf, ask if we would will tea yes please. Gardener laughed when I said cupper on its way, 25min later out he can cups saucers tea pot the whole works, turned out to be owner of big shipping business and treated everyone how he liked to be treaded.
  5. When I said gudgeon pin wear I meant it has worn piston. Cylinder and piston were replaced only 2 years ago because gudgeon pin retaining clip broke and scored cylinder and piston cheap part used. Have found meteor kit so will fit new top end.
  6. Husqvarna 346xp start rattling the other week, though it was clutch no, then exaust no. Ran it Thursday and it stopped, well turns out gudgeon pin had weared in piston then some how little pin in ring groove came out and did this damage to piston but not a make on cylinder bore.
  7. It's the driver that makes the best out of a grab, my brother uses a thumb and bucket to feed chipper for me on larger clearance jobs. But I am getting round to fitting a swing grab for him off my small loader. Should make it a little easier time will tell if he puts it on or just uses what his got now.
  8. It's a collie breed one breed I don't trust seen then turn like a tap when with other dogs and once was working at a property were there was one OK first time I walk into garden but would not let me in second time and owner had to shut it out the rest of the day.
  9. You could try ACT Services at Earls Colne 0758455742. Been told he is good not used him myself and have no idea if his mobile. If it's engine problem and a Kubota give Attmere Plant a ring. Attmere plant | Bures WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Attmere plant, Bures, Essex. 529 J’aime · 1 en parlent. Plant and agricultural repair and maintenance in Essex and Suffolk
  10. Seen stock netting use 2 high made into ring and a couple of posts a spiral to stop rabbits, worked well for muntjac, may not if deer are fallow. Not her opinion is rifle and put them in freezer. To add, needs to be simple to put up and nice to the eye. Also easy removal to maintain tree.
  11. Depends how handy you are with spanners and a welder. Your 25hp tractor would run a timberwolf 150 but not lift it but you could put one on a set of wheels and fit draw bar. Or as above towable chipper.
  12. Out of the blue Haha, they are watch what we post on here, quite a few manufacturers watch on here had a couple quote back to me what I have talked about on here and no where else.
  13. Best of luck, I have tried to sell hazel rods to thatchs when I have been coppiceing. Not one of them has wanted ir, they just buy them in from eastern Europe. Thatching is done all year round as well.
  14. Another willow in pond bit big this one had double up to get it to move,
  15. It looks like it has collapsed at base so probably nothing holding it, I wouldn't even put a saw near that. It's the sort of thing you come across doing thinning work, so for someone in forestry work piss easy.
  16. Just pull it at base with tractor if you can get near it, looks like it's on golf course so may not be access for tractor then just hand winch it ether way take a sheet of ply and place near base and try and get base on it then it want dig in to ground.
  17. If bars have been stretched you will be waisting your time trying to straighten them, best to cut them at a post and weld new in.. You can straighten them with sledge hammer like an anvil and a lump hammer to hit,
  18. Hot wire solenoid. To rule out ignition switch.
  19. This afternoon joo, Willow in pond stinky thing.
  20. Toyota land cruiser utility lwb or swb are both commercial.
  21. One day off because of bad weather is better then a week or two with a cold or worse.
  22. With a customer last month and we talk to a builder about access from his yard, he said it had gone quiet got 3 houses built he hadn't shifted. Think it is going to be hard for small building companies building houses on small sites, but those do agriculture building are busy.
  23. 100% agree with that, local farmer attack a hedge near me and it got loads of complaints on local facebook page at the time but its come back and looks ok until they have another go at it. They have their uses like reducing and untangling stuff to then fell with saw.
  24. NCD equipment is how you need to talk to about a demo. My cousin has a TMK on a 8 ton 360 and is think of get one to fit a 3 ton 360.
