  1. You got to be clever to work out what glove you need by what they have written. So once you have you probably don't need one.
  2. I have heard and see some bad work from ifor williams, and one was a plant trailer with a axle stub end out of line once it had been weld on to beam. Owner could not work out were the vibration was coming from, until he sat in trailer while his mate drove it up farm drive.
  3. If done by insurance contractor job not done to correct standard. And needs redoing if contract was to treat to kill. Other way if you want to do it your self is to drill holes in to shoots and fill with Glyphosate.
  4. Why do you need one.
  5. Is this for real. I know chainsaws aren't built like they were years ago.
  6. When I was younger,, I regularly planted 400 to 600 a day. But it is hard on body when you put 12000 to 16000 a season, only do small planting jobs now.
  7. I think they may fit a fly jib with winch, so basically use it in tight access were big crane may struggle to get in
  8. There's a plant hire company in a neighbouring village taking about getting one, they keep getting asked about roto Telehandler for putting roof trusses up.
  9. Never bothered cutting gorse by hand always ripped it out with loader or digger, or just mulched it with flail hedge cutter.
  10. That's a fair size canopy Lime tree, I've got 6 to re-pollard I did around 10 years ago the have gone mad with regrowth.
  11. They are very blunt, to much pressure being applied to get it to try and cut.
  12. There's been 2 other threads about chippers with problems and we have posted comments and the person how has the problem has never responded to what we have said. Some people.
  13. Old boss bought a job lot of tractors one wouldn't start after towing it no joy just black smoke. Air cleaner mushroom had loose top which had been pushed down so no air. Took mushroom off and it fired up and ran sweet. Have also known air cleaner hose on land rovers collapse.
  14. Yes common sense. I have worked alongside others in the trade and will not keep distance when I am working chainsaw, and hedge cutter, court someone finger with hedge cutter once while sideing up hedge didn't realise they were right behind me. Cutter was not going but teeth were fully open and as I let go with one hand and put it to my side with blade pointing backwards court he a treat.
  15. Had this a few years ago with TM so just tried to increase to £10m. Only way insurance company would do is a layered policy £5m each, as I work in church grounds for the diocese iand you need £10m cover as well.
  16. Been doing a bit of first thinning in woodland and most of it that size, so add it a little easy once I subtracted that khee high stump off.
  17. Yes that's exactly what it is, all the winches in a box I looked at were plastic, and though they wouldn't last long. Also alot cheaper. Use it to pull stump grinder up ramps on to truck. Power is via Anderson plug,
  18. To get this out after getting stuck late yesterday. No access for anything big so used winch box, great bit of kit.
  19. The man how thinks battery power is great, someone got it wrong.
  20. It's flywheel belts that need to be tight as well as hydraulic pump one. If you bought it from dealer I would ask them for advice if they know anything about it.
  21. Two legs, very energetic, left unattended can cause damage. CHILD...
  22. Are belts tight, Timberwolf chippers will all work in reverse if flywheel is a little slow plus if engine is on tick over.
  23. If you are back near Sudbury get Shaun up north street to look at them.
  24. Pulling on gravel drive is a waist of time, like trying to stand on marbles. Have never anchored truck to tree but always chock front wheels, got a couple of bits of big gate post I use, but have just used lumps of wood laying around. A couple of months ago forgot lump of wood and couldn't find anything big enough on site but had digger on site with a couple of spare buckets so used them upside down, worked a treat but needed digger to pull them out after truck had pushed them into ground.
