    I had a very similar problem turned out the ignition key was turning its self back to off a little that you could not see it. This was when you started to put wood through chipper, a spray of WD40 work a treat.

    No. Contact bus opperater had a conifer to do some time ago customer said it was not a busy stop so I decided to do them between buses. Turned out one every 5 mins but best of all bus opperater inspector lived next door to job only found out when he came home and stood talking to him and he kept raising his hand to bus drivers them found out what he did but he said he was off duty so all well.

    Used oil & steel octapussy before what I like is the speed the move about your not standing around waiting to get near to the branch you what to cut off.

    Its probably your using wrong rope combo, tried a Knut the other day would not grip and work with Marlow but then tried Teufelberger gripped and worked as it should so keep at you will find whats best.

    Bought a Auger Torque borer 5 years ago 1 of the best bits of kit I have bought. A mate used it the other week on his tractor came back and said that's some piece of kit.

    Just read your other post, as it is a clear fell job a farwarded hired in or get you own timber trailer is the best bet. Skidding timber is time consuming with chains/winch tongs on back of tractor are quicker if just line thinning.

    From my memory you have the oil cap as they were black and the fuel cap were red. Will have a look around my sheds to see if one is still kicking around.

    That's what I mean. But why buy a 395 if you can put a 36" bar on a 576 ???

    Big dead Horse chestnuts may be hollow so no need to buy a bigger saw. Can't he just fit a longer bar with skip chain fitted to his 576.

    Debark with axe where felling. The bat willow fellers do it were trees are on flood plan near me to save a lot of sharpening.

    Years ago a cabinet makers in Ipswich wanted all they could get there hands on right down to 3 inch limbs was used in inlay on there tables I think.

    Have used cooper pegler cp15 for creosote work well with small fan nozzle.

    Poplar stumps, groove around top just inside cambium with chain saw plunge cut a bit deeper in places and then fill groove with SBK cover with plastic or thin slice of stump cut before grooving keeps weather and pets off.
