  3. I would go for clarks one as they nicely finished and well made I have a small one and a toothed one they are brilliant and worth the money
  4. well said and rember too wash you hands
  5. buying in is very costly and then you have the cost to process it in to firewood, and what way you go depends on the volume, then theres cost of handeling costs even bags, incurance, so look at it very clossely as there is very bad cash flow
  6. same i would love a post driver with a powerfull auger that you could put a pilote hole in easly the right size
  7. how close was it in the end
  8. That is simon lenihan probally he is working at Balmoral at the minute in scots pine, and he done it full time, with a horse you do less harm to the site and the stand and can reduce your costs for re planting risk of wind blow work site a machine can not etc i think a hoses is most deffently cheeper for some sites, and the can replace them self by having a foal they dont cost in excess of 15 an hour in fuel alone can work with voice comands at time and dont need telling what to do all the time they use there brain too to help / hinder you at times they fertilise the forest floor
  9. i would say it -2 in the city at the minute
  10. tomtom you beat me to it i love some of the setup in the pictures the jake set up seem brillent and i love the ones with a front loader as well as the jake frame:thumbup: my concern would be acess how it limits acess to the link arms, how easy it is to attach implements and dose it allow full range movement espically the top link as i see it as a protenial problem area, though the support legs seem a brillent idea for chipper work tomtom am i correct in saying that jake work with the valtra disgin teams
  11. i wounder if simon lenihan will be still working at balmoral with his horses if it stays this cold for him
  12. is the road still open or have they closed it yet
  13. i have a 6m silky hayaic how ever it spelt but just use the top 2 for pruning hardwood trees
  14. i dont think driving it through a flood counts as cleaning
  15. thats is a very very tiddy job eddy and you would be on the top of my list for digger work if there was no water between gb and ireland i always liked the idea of a tilt rotor
  16. clarkes do the indexer viersion i think
  17. same as pat has said but if it was the right way up i would pay you for it as it cool
  18. caladoan forestry and nathan 338 are both rabaud dealers
  19. that not an excuse it more of a reason to tidy up as you work quicker in a tidy work shop as you know wear things are and if you drop somthing you can find it easly
  20. try your local tin roofing supplier as they will have some spare knocking around as they now cut and shape them too order so they always have a few sheets with a bent corner or scratched that would not be usable in a cow sheed exctra
