  1. Reference to burrwood boards His might not be that much better but i do envy the resin inlay and they sell in Harrods for £100 plus
  2. Has anybody seen the cutting boards made by Burrwood boards they look fantastic and some are inlaid with a coloured resin don't know what the resin is but it must be food safe,looks fantastic

  20. ps the picture is of an ash burr and all the small cracks etc are filled with crushed turquoise

HI i use quite a few Ash burrs and find the best way is to mill half of the burr and use the rest for larger items The burr will never fully dry out in the full burr,I have had burrs which have been stored under cover for 20 years and still haven't dried If you are interested in selling any of the burr I would be interested but another idea is if you wanted me to make something from part of the burr then we could trade for timber how does that sound Have a look at some of my past posts you will see the sort of thing I do [/img]
  22. took about an hour and a half to make easiest way to get into woodturning is to join a local club.Usually costs pennies and clubs like Coombe abbey give free 2 hour lessons to members

  25. Incedentally some trees seem to ripple all the way down the trunk and branches.I don't know for sure but its as though the tree seems to struggle to carry its own weight and buckles I am sure someone on here can put me right on that
