  2. Hi Ian try thinning some sanding sealer and putting that on it helps hold the grain together

  9. once the worm is treated i can't see a problem with using the timber
  10. Beautifull timber and not all woodturners are that tight allthough i agree most are what size is the boll
  11. depends what you are intending to do ,very little of the root is good enough for gun stocks.If the trunk is good you need to keep as long a length as possible for planking Think there is more to be made from the main trunk rather than the root ball

  19. Hi Does anybody know of somebody who mills close to Hinckley in leics Have a few fairly small bits that need milling,preferably with something like a woodmizer ( bandsaw ) cheers
  20. if you join a local woodturners club lots of the members will help out and you often find tools really cheap
