Bison boots are far better,thay last a lot longer .I use them for metal detecting and have had mine well over a year,of course i do lots of digging in all weathers,and they are warm and cheaper than Muck boots.Got mine off ebay

Depends on the bowls you want to make,if you just cut the burrs off you will lose a lot of timber .try and take as much of the trunk off with it 6 months is nothing the wood will nowhere near be dry,but have a go at tutning a bowl while wet and lrt it find its own shape Any spare let me know Heres a pic of the last birch burr vessel i made

A woodturners dream maybe but pieces of burr like that need to be used to show off the wood not a turners skill,and most turners would cut them into tiny pieces
