Here's he rest of the pics which should have been on previous post Long bench made in Elm and Ash Second pic is a book jewellery box, lid just sits on top Third [pic is another Rocking chair in Olive Ash, steam bent and laminated arms last pic is of mirrors I am experimenting with Any comments good or bad are gratefully received just don't be too harsh
  3. lots of variety from the last couple of months All I have to do now is sell it which is a lot harder than making it, craft fairs are hard work nowadays

  6. Does the Balcotan have any flexibility when dry and where do you get it I steam bend 3 Pieces of ash each 1/2 ins thick into about a 10 ins radius then glue them together , but they always seem to be under a bit of strain
  7. Tried titebond 2 and 3 Hopeless results Will give the Balcotan a go

Who can recommend a really good wood glue for laminating the arms for rocking chairs after they have been steam bent Most glues are too brittle and you can hear them crack I have tried gorilla pva ,titebond, araldite.The only glue I have had any success with is permabond ET515, but its very expensive Any other ideas

  12. mine is just a 6ft long 12 ins square box made from polystyrene (dow ) and I use a wallpaper stripper for the steam and heat
  13. 2 items made in the last couple of weeks first is a bench in olive ash second is a rocking chair also made in Olive Ash lots of steam bending
