  1. Thanks for putting all the effort into the Bitcoin explanation Rob. Its an interesting space for sure, blockchain is going to make a difference to our world and once bitcoins etc stabilise then they could add real value. Interesting the comments about the value. I'd argue that Uber is worse.... huge valuation, pay below minimum wage, dont follow regulations, irresponsible management...... with valuations of $60-70 billion Kev
  2. Hi Could you send me a few, I think the wife might like them at her school (head teacher of a primary). Happy to cover costs of a box etc. Let me know and I can send you a few quid. Kev
  3. careful rats/mice dont eat through the oil tank which is what happened to me
  4. THese are both £20 ish so could be used as a comparison. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/219109444/wood-circle-1-pcs-round-wooden-coaster?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=rustic%20wooden%20tree%20slice&ref=sr_gallery_47 https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/269272442/12-inches-large-wooden-slicerustic?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=rustic%20wooden%20tree%20slice&ref=sr_gallery_41
  5. I think £100 is the minimum you should charge. Half a days labour plus materials (tooling etc) Look on Etsy and see what this kind of thing would sell for... but remember you are making something bespoke for someones big day (and wedding costs for everything are ridiculous). I'd make a comment about the fact that these things could be given as gifts to the best men, maids and even think about some kind of info tag with date and names (you can buy these from etsy) https://www.etsy.com/uk/search?q=luggage%20tag if you present the rings as a one off just for them creation which can then be kept and gifted as a long term memory for the closest guests all of a sudden £10 to £30 each suddenly feels quite reasonable? Good luck! Kev
  6. get an allen hover mower, will deal with all of that for you!
  7. Did you buy it from a trader? If yes I'd take it back.
  8. the BR 600 is also brilliant with snow. Kev
  9. there a place on croydon lane in banstead if you get stuck. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.3353025,-0.1626104,3a,75y,140.78h,79.64t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sKv-wvZFvfYyo9SJwPSZ0zA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
  10. there are 2 elements of this.... 1 what do you need to cover food etc 2 what do you need to cover working away from family for 1 i think £30 is ok (either as £30 cash payment or receipts for up to £30 to be refunded by the company) for 2 it depends on the individual and how often, for young single people they will probably do it for nothing but if they have a young family they will probably want a bit extra.... Kev
  11. if its getting spark and fuel it may be worth checking compression (although the amount of spark and fuel may still be the problem).
  12. Brilliant mowers, I've had a few of these and allen 218's. Buy them in the winter for £40-£80, and run them till they stop. The Tecumseh engine is a bit tricky but if you buy them cheap enough (in the winter) you van build up some spares. Kev
  13. Lovely Bench have you done anything to stop the ends from splitting (down)? thanks
