  1. Think a HiCap will be handier to be honest-and can't fit much timber in the back of a 90!
  2. Iv just sold Betsy my 90 this afternoon I had a lump in me throat when she drove away! Had some good times in her...
  3. Nothing yet Moz but it will have a green oval on it when I get it... Looking at a few HiCaps but they all seem to be in Cornwall!
  4. :crying:Sold Betsy this afternoon... on her way down to the Isle of Wight with her new owner. Need a stiff drink now!
  5. Pardon my ignorance but do you have to just cut the plastic bottle apart to remove it? And can the cages be lifted by one man?
  6. Good idea-can't afford IBCs though so I got some stock fencing and U-nailed round a pallet. Black visqueen on top does the trick
  7. Not my cup of tea but it's not mine...
  8. On it like a car bonnet...
  9. Saw one go bein used on some steel erecting but there was a winch blanket on the line to absorb it.
  10. Reminds me of when I went picking my sis up from Rennes airport a few years back.. I was doing a 'comfortable' speed in my old Volvo S60 when this guy came past like I was standing still in a 20 year old Peugeot! On the crest of a hill too:lol:
  11. Hes driving a Landy cos he knows G-wagens are too pricey!
  12. Finally got enough cash for my Cs30/31 after some hard saving! Looking at Monday 9th July if Myerscough has places! Any advice appreciated.
  13. Get a garden sprayer thingy then when u change your oil every 3k pour it in the sprayer and fire it all over and into your chassis. Sure it's carcinogenic but what the hey.. so's woodchip...
  14. "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it" George Santayana.
  15. Get yourselves on BCA and Mannheim auctions there's sure to be one near you-seen loads of decent pickups go for good prices.
  16. Can anyone recommend a climbing centre around Wigan or nearby? Seeing as the recreational climb was an epic fail I figure this is the next best bet.
  17. Iv always used them while on my bike started off with a Camelbak which are expensive then saw that Costco do some 3litre ones for about £20. Had it 2 years now it's brill!
  18. Percentage wise how many of your jobs do you actually need a Mog for compared to a Transit or a Landy?
  19. We've got a Rayburn 355 but having read more about them I'd say their only really useful on coal due to the amount of wood it will go through in a day. To keep the rads toasty Iv been using about 2 barrowfuls a day! Next winter il be getting some coal in as it lasts much longer.
  20. My mate moved over there 2 years since to Sydney in civils. Says they get the house fumigated regular for bugs and his neighbour had an Inland Brown snake living in his garage...those thing are poisonous.
  21. Tornado contour Avengers or Tegera? I don't climb so wouldn't know how well they last tho.
  22. I'd have a Toyota if the Landy packed up again. Spoke to a guy at West Coast 4x4 about them. His answer.. Japs are never original they just copy and refine other peoples ideas. No character to the Jap cars so il stick to Landys for now...
  23. Guy at my local Landy garage raved about those with a 2.1 bda engine in-think it wasn't far short of 300bhp and weighed nowt...
  24. Thumbs up from me! These nay sayers have no style...
  25. BCA or Manheim Ryan sure to be one close to you. They occasionally have some older 4x4 pickups go through you may be able to get for about 2k.
