  1. Been drilling spring barley all day.. 100 acres left.. 5am start and should be finished tomorrow.. An end to a miserable harvest, autumn, and spring hasn't been much better..
  2. Can do smaller loads but haulage will be same..
  3. have wood in reading but i would need to deliver it... £50 ton delivered.. £ 25 ton loads.. acess for artic required..
  4. Ring rolls used on arable land straight after drilling.. Flat roll can cause capping and water logging.... Flat roll used on grass.. If you don't flat roll you notice diff in yield
  5. No diff to what I do I guess.. Buy and sell timber to the trade.. Either cordwood or bulk split wood
  6. I was picking animal feed up from avonmouth docks earlier in week... There was great big pile wood chip on dock either going abroad or coming in..

  16. My two lads have been working on our farm since Xmas as I been to busy to find them much tree work... They been cuttin and splitting logs for next years burning on our out door wood burner, cutting hedges back round arable fields with forklift etc.. There's always something for them to do..
  17. Thought exactly same when read first post.. Chipper said in one of his previous posts he used to work on farm. Would thought that's best bet.. Find local farmer feeding cattle etc...
  18. Hi mate. I can do you load birch,alder,oak,sycamore at £1450 load delivered..

  20. One younger brother.. 2 boys nearly 2 and nearly 3 and step daughter 9
  21. Must admit I wasn't one for charity till my little boy was in hospital when he was born for 3 months... He was looked after and survived mainly cos someone else got off their arse and raised money to buy extra intensive care beds etc.. I gave generously when he came home and still do and also give to other charity's such as CR which I didn't go out my way to do before... It's very easy to forget about things and think someone else will sort the problem out till your in predicament yourself... Similar to giving blood....
  22. We take lot logs into London... Charge £120 for same load we charge £80 for locally... Do have to barrow them as not many have drives where we go.. 4 loads at time though..
  23. Split it now and it'll be dry by October. Leave it in cord and prob won't be dry the following oct
  24. Log it first. You'll get more volume on and it will come out bulker better. Unless they have barn doors which won't matter in that case..

    <p>Hi Steve. Have problem with some photos I put up a while ago of piles cordwood and my lorry etc...</p>

    <p>They were taken in an oil refinery... Little did I no at time it was owned by m.o.d and somehow they've seen the photos on here and asked for them to be removed..</p>

    <p>They are on page 4 of firewood forum titled mixed cordwood for sale.. Can you remove them at all.</p>
