  4. can get hold of some very dry larch..
  5. been out with 7 loads this afternoon... main roads ok.. side roads nightmare especially when empty... and painfully slow in old transit, one load at time.. newer one wont tip for some reason... think a sensor must fozen as it tells me its fully tipped when its down!!!!
  6. We used them. Bit heavy to lug around. And had stones ricochet off the boards and break a window once.. Mate mine had an aluminium frame made out of 1"x1" box with a sheet type material. That worked well.
  7. Are you talking about the 3 piece tubular framework with woven material... Work well just fall to bits very easily... Think we're on 4 th set in couple yrs... Frame work is very thin and welds crack... But do stop the crap from smashing windows so not to worried about cost.. Used to smash windows/ windscreens on regular basis before we used them..
  8. Don't think there's any seasoned cord for sale in the country... Only stuff I no of is my 100 ton ash birch I've kept in reserve for own use.... Split the last few logs in yard yesterday,, first time in 5 yrs its been cleared right out.. Prob got 4 grain trailer size loads bark saw dust etc that must be 18inchs high to deep to clear...
  9. Trailer has its own crane mate.. That big green thing on top of load
  10. Yeah.. Exactly. But you'd think they'd be bit more organised when animals are concerned... I'm trying to get rid of these small customers who have 80-100 bales and just concentrate on the bigger ones who take 400 at time.... But old man can't resist the cash....that's problem.. And the smaller ones are far more demanding than the bigger ones...
  11. 5 loads in transit earlier.. Roads were pretty good on way out and moving fast.. At standstill on way back.... Had 2 hay customers ring to say there completely out hay and need it today... They can whistle for it...they do it every time, leave it till they run out and expect us there within couple hours..
  12. Central boiler... Runs on hard/softwood billets...
  13. That's basically what they said.... No snow forecast here in morning but heavy in afternoon... And 90% kids get to school on coaches....
  14. Our local middle school is closed tomorrow. Just had email to say...
  15. Mine is one handed.. I've used similar splitters since I was 12 yrs old... But 3 who have and work for me have ended up in a ane e... One lost his left trigger finger to knuckle...
  16. On lorry I think he's asking.. In cord form... You busy???
  17. Just bought 350 ton in one heap near me.. Ive sold it all to one peron but there is some bigger diameter wood in there that he won't want. Prob couple load.. £35 ton is what I bought it for... If you want it I'll give you quote for haulage..
  18. £1750 a load delivered.. Birch oak sycamore ash
  19. Think he's disappeared off face earth.. Pm'ed and no reply
  20. They can only take my word that I was in cab resting when lorry is set to break.. Already had that conversation with them last time I was pulled... It's bit like I'm supposed to keep a diary of every hour I work during the week when I'm not in lorry... As it still goes down as drivers hours no matter what your doing..
  21. Don't think that's needed.. Vosa would have to prove it looking at my tacho which is impossible
  22. Could possibly have a customer or everything you have... But I work in tons so can you let me no price per ton on seasoned and unseasoned.. It'd be going for chip so anything up to 850mm diameter Thanks
  23. similar to this load....
  24. Can deliver you load birch, alder, oak, ash at around £1600 load depending where in peterboroughbyou are..
