  1. Alycidon will tell, you all you need to no.
  2. Same here. I sub all my work out now and earn just as much with no hassle and no stress, at all. Finding the right person to sub to could be a challenge though.
  3. Think they less than £10 each
  4. Mine do that all the time.. Can wreck a set like that in few hours.. All,depends what area your from and soil types. We have lot flint.. Broken teeth don't make that much diff. Just change the odd one now and then and try to put a damaged one then good then damaged Seems to work better.
  5. Wouldn't listen to to much those half wits have to say. They don't no their arse from elbow most time.. Not many farmers left who have much respect for them nowadays..
  6. We burn 2 cube a day some days on our outdoor central boiler. The hardwood we first used wasn't a problem. Once a month we would open back up. Place special tool in the flues and pull up and down with chain provided. Was bit hard going but after few passes a dry dusty soot comes out, prob a good shovel full from the 8 flues. After burning softwood that was originally very seasoned and barn stored(6-8% moisture) Then was put outside in big heap so got wet although burnt very well and used no more per day than pure hardwood after a month couldn't get the tool in the flues at all which are about 6"x1". We had to make special tool up to fit on drill to bore the tarred up flues out..
  7. We had pallet load old batteries nicked out yard few weeks ago. Prob between £5-600's worth..
  8. Thinking exactly same although would be 40ft x 40ft or bigger. Have the steel buildings sat up back yard rusting away that we took down from our old farm. Was gonna erect them as normal then weld an rsj across the bottom to act as a skid. Not that it would be moved once in situ. Make good shed for log storage
  9. That's not on a timber bolster trailer with crane though is it??? Walking floor bulker???? £2-2.30 mile.. Self loading crane moving round timber lot more than that as usually can only load one way..
  10. Yes mate.
  11. This is exactly why I don't do anywhere near as much work as I used to. Only work for regular customers now and don't even bother with recommendations as they bound to be getting other quotes.
  12. I no him. And his brothers..
  13. £450 grind and go..
  14. Do you do a load handler that would fit say a 14ft ifor Williams flat.
  15. my cousin caught two red handed in his yard in a transit van.. one ran off the other drove off down the road with his lights off. cousin followed and as luck has it as they entered town police car came other way and stopped them.. he was arrested with several cans red diesel in back his van. he did a no comment interview and released without charge as only my cousins word it was him in yard and no other proof...
  16. About 20 mins fron Watford if you don't find anything. Run there and back several times in day with mog when working that area.
  17. Can you not get them to put you a set cages round the body with a dividing gate in middle and then get 2 loads logs on. My transit is Brit tip and I have same done to get 4 loads on.
  18. Less than 10 miles from our yard but in 14 yrs none our chip has ever gone there. Always go up north. Just googled it and they haven't shut just down sized..
  19. Is slough actually shut??? I called a big local skip firm last week who have there own shredder to see if they had any chip they were looking to give away. When Slough used to go down they would ring all local farmers to bring it in free for bedding. They said no they had none. I said I thought with Slough being shut they'd have plenty to get rid of. He said what you on about were gunning two walking floors in there every day 6 days week..
  20. £40 ton or metre I can buy for
  21. Just out interest did I take your boyfriend a load wood last spring???
  22. Closest I have is 3 month old processed beech delivered in bulker..
  23. Yes mate. Down that way a lot. Where's it going from and too...
  24. Might have a shliesing u550 2009 I think for sale shortly.. With or without the U1600 mog
  25. Yes mate. Several will get through 10+ artic loads a yr.. I make good money at £80 for 1.3 cubic metre loads. But I very rarely buy any timber..
