  1. its set for 25mm pins iirc for a JCB 801.6 i need to mesure it for anther interested party would rather see it go to an Arbtalk member !
  2. no longer have the 360 change of life direction etc yes worked well not much it wouldnt have ago at ! I can bung it on a pallet !
  3. Built all sorts of exhausts for all sorts of machines but as thats what I do at moment that price does not surprise me ! Merlo want silly money we can build for much less ! Looks good!
  4. Agree on the stainless ! love welding it ! Disagree on the convenience 5 Tig sets around our place all ready to go we have to plug the Mig in to use that lol ! Its just as easy for us to use either as there always setup. I really really like to Arc weld on heavy steel so satisfying to burn rods full length and to get the slag to curl !
  5. Mary had a little lamb She tied it to a pylon 10,000 volts went ups its bum And turned its wool to nylon !
  6. Trust paid out on the claim i made few years ago no worries horses for courses would shop about again if i were in the market for it all again !
  7. There was an old man from Brazil who swallowed a dynamite pill His Heart retired His bum backfired And his willie shot over the hill
  8. I Tig daily 90% stainless and 9% mild and 1% aluminium once you have it mastered it really is a lovely welding process electric gas welding ! very clean very civilised we refer to it as gentleman's welding I am proficient in Mig Arc tig and gas welding and brazing and tig is the most controllable and precise method I use
  9. that's the benefit of luxury of having tig welders around I can build up enough to get the washer and bolt trick to work the heat does the job to expand and contract the threads helping them to release from each other. I use a product called Super Crack Ultra from normfast through euro car parts which is a penetrating freeze spary very very effective especially in places heat would damage or isn't able to get to
  10. Sod helicoils if you have ever used a Wurth Timesert kit you would lauch helicoils far far away there a solid type insert very easy to use and IMHO far better than a Helicoil Re your stud your only otion for an exhaust stud is to either drill and tap oversize or use an insert to rectify it is the flange blind or could you drill through and nut and bolt ? I spend a good amount of my time sorting studs out most awkward to date was on an Audi RS6 twin turbo with the engine and manifold still in the car (trust me no no room ! )
  11. Its usually the other way round after the date that USLD was made mandatory across the board the older machines sometimes got a cob on about the lack of sulphur in the fuel ! also as said before Gas oil or Red diesel will be supplied and base stock fuel to a certain BS standard where as most if not all White Derv will have an additive package added at the refinery before delivery the higher the quality that is given by the retailer eg Shell V power will have a better additive package as opossed to supermarket fuel will be the same base stock but with fewer additives etc.
  12. Beat me to it ! :thumbup1::thumbup1: Or according to the boys in blue those of no fixed abode !
  13. Combined flow and pressure meter wind it open for flow and then close untill the PRV lets off then back it off will give flow rate at Max pressure used them alot on tractors to measure spool slice flow and pressure
  14. just a thought if more fuel is helping there isa chance of a pinhole in the pickup pipe allowing very small amount of air into fuel lines not enough to stop it but enough to reduce power
  15. Anything i can find that's remotely related to wood !
  16. its going to be pipework collapsing or de-laminating in the air side of the engine or lift pump and 300tdis are very prone to lack of top end with slack lift pumps or fuel starvation, or a leak in the supply to or diaphragm for the boost fueling on the top of the injector pump possibly early signs of turbo failure how old it the 300tdi if its one of the few fitted with a catalytic converter (yes they did fit them to some 300tdi defenders)it may be blocking up slowly. Money on leaking or collapsing pipework, blocked/collapsing airfilter or fuel starvation from blocked filter or u/s lift pump. Does it smoke when you have no power if so what colour Or very very long shot it has skipped a tooth on the timing belt !
  17. The increase in thefts of DPFs and Catalytic converters from vans trucks and 4x4s has increased since the change of rules re cash from Scrappy s they are going missing due to the ease of changing them into cash i know of several company's that will pay cash and collect the units no scrap yard involved ! the laws and enforcement of them and the reluctance of the "Police" to actually prosecute and impound crush etc vehicles used by them and to lock the buggers up is laughable ! We will still get several caravan utilizing nomadic traveler type a month trying to buy our scrap etc ! and the answer will always be a polite no thanks we deal with it ourselves !
  18. Watch this @4.25 is good and @5.10 iirc is why chapter 8 was invented im sure ! Russian Road Rage and Car Crashes 2012 by TNL - YouTube
  19. Alot of the grass land in east sussex is grass as thats what its good at growing some of the poorer chalk and clay lands are very good at growing grass and not so good at Arable cropping due to the high amounts of imputs needed ! alot of the marsh land on pevensy and through to Romney marsh are left as grass as there to wet to do anything else with predicably but they grow good grass which feeds and produces good stock ! There is also an abundance of grass due to the diminishing number of Dairy enterprises due to the lack of income due to the milk prices driven so low by the daires and supermarkets loss leaders etc !
  20. Being close to the beet factory at Bury i would look into this too Products and Services, TOPSOIL
  21. Green-sulation by Buitex, the natural biodegradable mulching for green spaces and hydroculture
