  1. There are alot of tuners out there we do it too with laptop and the vehicle in front of us takes around 2 hours moslty dependant on the ECU fitted and the time it takes to read the file from the ECU and to upload the modified one ! you can average 30 hp increase and 30 - 50 Nm increase over standard power all dependant on the vehicle !

  12. This has been said by you before and many have replied with simmilar to the following ! The more tyou wind yourself up into the frame of mind that life is all doom and gloom and nothing is going right you wwill always find the things to convince yourself that life is dealing you the bad hand ! Life is tough very sometimes but its what you makle of it that makes it work. Re your P45 ring up or go see your last boss if your in that much need to sign on you will go and get it sorted rather than use "he hasnt sent it to me yet" as a reson for not doing it ! as others have tried to help you and told you find little things to do for people even if its an hours raking up leaves for £5- 10 its money it gets you known it gets you into a btter frame of mind ! Please try and lift yoursself out of this dark place oyur putting yourself in trust in your self and with some decent effort on your part you will get where you want to be if you want to get there !
  13. LGP Eddie Er yes thats some interesting loading far play to the guy for getting them both on ! Sorry for the derail ! im no saint spent many hours over the spead limit in tractors was just pointing out the fact of the speed etc ! I was talking to a contractor the other day who had hired out a trailer 18tonner i believe whuich the operator had an accident at speed which cause a very high amount of damage to an ancient wall or bridge which is going to cost in ther region of £250,000 to put right ! Vosa took the trailer away and inspected and trested it fully brakes suspension tyres etc but never bothered to look at the tractor ! This is the issue where they have not got into being consistant with there approach to it all
  14. HA ha yes O licences White derv tachos and driving hours ! The government are not stupid they do catch up in the end !
  15. No worries its kind of my pet subject having worked in an Ag college in the workshops etc also weight is another issue where its easy to excceed nowadays without realising it Mogs and Fastracs are in a league of there own mind you lets not forget that the Trantor was the first true british High Speed Tractor lol ! Introduction | Trantor® Tractors
  16. Please read my post again. Only on FULL 4 wheel or all axle suspension as in Unimog or Fastrac as far as i remember from working on the old firm and when im on better computer ill look up the construction and use regs it still stands that a standard type tractor even when fitted with Front axle suspension and air brakes and abs and most modern tractors of this type still use oil immersed inboard brakes ! are limited to 20mph The fact that a road they are allowed to run at higher speeds and that the manufactures are able to supply them in this country still doesn't mean that "legally " you can drive faster than 20mph im not saying its not done and i used to drive a 40k deere when they first came out and a fully caged MF390 also 40k and i never stuck to 30k ! also anything you tow be it a trailer or other wheeled implement must also comply with the regs re hi speed axles and brakes and suspension ! Quote from here will find more when on proper internet connection Tractors on the road: don't ignore the road rules - 04/02/2012 - Farmers Weekly
  17. Hmm is it here where we mention the legality of running a standard ag tractor at a speed above 20mph on the road in this country ? even if it does have Air brakes ABS and front axle suspention is still only Legaly alowwed to do 20mph or 30k ! Nick yes Bale trailers mucho fun even moresoo if there loose Round bales ! or a full load of conventionals they have a mind of there own !

  23. I look after two one 2001 0ne 2006 both used for towing all the time ! replace many sets of brake pads several ujs and drive flanges the tensioner pullys on the aux belts go also on the late one the rear aircon shat its self and is horendous to repair they eat batterys ! oh and they have a habit of loosing wheelstuds and also the earlier one is in need of a gearbox soon ! also look after two hiluxes for the same guy one of those is very tired the other keeps going ! both have had prop ujs ! Also i look after many landrovers and in fairness the Toyotas are not faultless there in a different legue though as new LC is 40 - 60 grand ! a defender is under 30k ! each to there own is horses for courses ! having welded up many discoverys i would urge you to check the conditon of the bodywork/chassis very carefully the cheepest i could fit a rear floor for a customer would be £800 plus vat ! its down to what you want and what you can afford and what you like !
  24. How about chain oil designed for chain lubrication ?
  25. they like to chew tyres out in less than 10000miles and gearboxes are not cheep when the go and they do ! lol but they do go well !
