  4. hell of a lot of work for the want of a decent propshaft to tilt one on a salisbury back axle you need to consider that the shock mounts seat mounts and the aframe ball joint mount need moving and as the aframe mount is cast into the axle its not worth even thinking about TBH, A decent prop and decent joints should and will last !

  10. Im sorry but there has vbeen some very good advice ie use the serch function on the forum and look up firewood production etc and the machinery and any other keywords you will find a wealth of informantion there jusat takes a little effort and if you dont / wont put the effort into helping yourself by using the advice and serching will you really make it worth your while going into firewood and kindling production to earn £300 extra in your pocket in a month you will have to do a lot of hard work to make enough sales to make a profit. Sorry if this sounds blunt but its all on here and people are willing to help those who are willing to help themselves David

  15. if you do the test for the trailer your alowedd as long as the vehicle and trailer are correctly matched a 3.5 tone trailer behind the tow vehicle eg landrover 130 MAM is 3500kg and GTW is 7000kg
  16. Why Pull out the 300 and put in a 200 ? i know the 200 is a great lump but the 300 is just as good stick a VNT and Large intercooler and you can go 3.5 tonnes truck weight and 3.5 toones trailer behind and still keep up with the traffic !

  20. Look on the Green building forum very handy site, Re insulation if and when i ge the chance to build or convert my own place proper airflow and insulation will be on the cards insulation costs once where as fuel is a continued cost that will rise ! as for the heat input into my place i like the idea of full burn gassification and large thermal store, also a wood burner as a focal point / comfort aspect would be nice and dont for get heat recovery. i Stayed in a friends house in germay a few years ago the place is super insulated and has a single pellet stove for heat and underfloor in the bathrooms only ! that house was never cold and the outside temp was below -5 most of the time ! they had heat recovery on the air exchange system worked very well ! David
  21. Not many will have if any also alot are now top fill top offtake ! ie no holes below the max fill level !
  22. Its more on vehicles where the spill return goes to the tank and the heat from the engine and transmission heats the tank and fuel bulk tanks will warm up and cool down and will sweat but due to size will hold more water before showing issues ! Plastic tanks will sweat but not as much also depends on the weather and humidity.
