I was 9 I would have slept right through living in coastguard house on the cliffs at fairlight but parents woke me up didn't get much sleep after that ! Remember next morning being able to lean into the wind and not fall over and the carnage our log stack was huge we had two large yews two huge beech and various others just for starters I was clearing up storm timber from a couple of places when I started out doing logs and such nearly 20 years ago and I still have the little Echo that dad started out with . Vary scary but an eye opener !

Straight forward nut and bolt job maybe the odd rivet always lower bulkheads on eBay and truck cabs are easy to come by too !

Ha ha even on series motors the 2wd setting would disengage the front end I had series with drive flanges as standard none of the freewheeling hub malarkey The don't break the just stop functioning as normal !!

As hard as you make it they will get in they will just make a lot more mess and damage best approach is secure it well bars add it in alarm well and the sound blasters really do Inflict pain ! CCTV and dogs are good ! Big nasty Gsd's and hungry Doberman's

If you drive a series landrover in 4wd with them locked on the road you will wind up the transmission and either break something or watch it move on its own ! No centre differential between front and rear propshafts necessitate the use of freewheeling hubs or selectable 2/4wd they also reduce wear on vehicles with selectable 4wd as the front prop and diff are stationary rather than being driven by the road wheels !
