    Bargain!

Seems a bit odd, why would you buy a saw like that and NEVER use it? stolen perhaps?
  2. Do you store them in the shed all year or just move them in over winter? I was thinking on stacking them outside 2 high (that's as high as I can get with my compact tractor and forks) then covering with a tarpaulin weighed down by tyres.
  3. Up until now ive been seasoning my wood in sheds but I need to expand and im looking into using IBC crate. Before I invest in them I would like to get as much info as possible, how long do they last?, how much should I be paying if im buying 100?, whats the best way to handle them?, how high can I stack them?, can I tip them?, etc. Any advice greatly appreciated.
  4. I get calls all the time "How much for a trailer load of logs?", when I say £80 a cubic metre they say "How many tons is that?".....you just cant win
  5. I used to buy echo machinery but nearly every tool I had gave up within a year or two, I agree with Hodge, the build quality and reliability is poor, although in terms of performance/comfort/low vibration/etc I cant complain.
  6. Xbox one (should be xbox 3!) is the newest model and costs around £350. If I was buying for a 5 year old however, I would get a xbox 360 which is the older model, they should be quite cheap now and you can get good preowned games for as little as £3 now, a child that age wont know the difference and you will save yourself a lot of money.
  7. How much firewood do you expect to sell this winter? I think its going to be another mild winter and with oil prices considerably lower than last year does that mean less demand for logs?
  8. £10 for a bust up pallet....im tempted
  9. I can dump green waste for free at the local dump, I had to sign a form stating it was from private gardens and not commercial businesses and its fine.
  10. Lol, im not talking about tons of stuff, just the left over sweepings and sawdust that cant go through the chipper!
  11. I own an Iveco Daily crewcab so we keep everything where the rear seats would have been, im planning on getting a single cab when I replace it to keep the weight down and was thinking about storing stuff under the tipper bed. Has anyone had any experience of this?
  12. Torrential rain here in NI, finished at 11am today, too bad to do anything in
  13. I don't allow any crap through the chipper so we bring a few builders bags at all times and the small stuff goes in them and then to the local dump which is free to use. If we are in a big garden we will sometimes use customers composts heaps (if they have them) or over a hedge into the field if we are out in the country. And if its a really small amount then just into the customers recycling bin.
  14. So if im driving a 3.5 ton with chipper and I stay within 100km from the house im ok without a tacho?
  15. I think you guys are being very hard on yellow pages! I find them very useful, like when you have a wobbly table you can put it under one leg to prop it up, or when you need to get the fire going and you've run out of kindling. Makes a good backstop for shooting at too.
  16. Picea is spruce, Abies is fir
  17. PROS: powerful, tows heavy loads easily, strong and reliable, nice to drive, crewcab has plenty of tool space CONS: heavy (very little payload on the 3 litre crewcab), thirsty (15-20mpg with a chipper and load of chip in the back), plastics are a bit crap

  19. Nothing here, still very mild, havnt even had a frost yet but flat out with the tree work so I cant complain.
  20. You could put that together in an hour or two, with a few £ worth of varnish, might have a go myself!
  21. I sell it for £10 m3 (well composted), although I give about half of the stuff we produce away for free as I don't sell enough of it.
  22. much quicker, pity he doesn't show us how to do it though
  23. It has to be Halo, followed by Resident Evil, Final Fantasy 7, Call of Duty 1, The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid.
