  1. You reckon you can pull that big stump back into place with your little digger?
  2. This winter sales have been much slower than last winters although they have improved slightly since Christmas.
  3. Nice job, very tidy
  4. The only paid advertising we do now is the local free paper which works quite well, I used to advertise in yellow pages and yell.com but they're a waste of money in my opinion, also look at free advertising such as gumtree, facebook, twitter, sign written truck (almost free), etc. We also do a few leaflets when we're finishing a job, just the street we are working in.
  5. Carried out a crown reduction, thinning and crown lifting on a few Ash and Beech trees.
  6. Yeah!!! I win a bent bar from an 88! ive always wanted one of those
  7. Is it not Cedar of 'Lebanon'?
  8. Tree surgery and firewood for sale in Lisburn with Chris Auld Tree Services
  9. 24 ton
  10. This guys selling a few tons of Leylandii for £500! And you'll need to come and collect it all yourself, anyone interested? FIREWOOD | Norwich | Gumtree
  11. Nice job Gareth, where was that?
  12. Stumbled upon this useless invention on ebay, I think I would rather get an old clothes hanger and bend it into shape than pay £9.99 for this! What do you think? LOG WIZARD FUEL SAVER. MAKE FREE ECO PAPER LOGS FOR FIRES. NO MESS, EASY TO USE | eBay
  13. I only got one job from the storms, a small half dead cherry that blew over in a regular clients garden. Although I still have about 80 tons of hardwood and 40 of softwood to process for next winters firewood, should keep us busy right through January.
  14. Firewood sales have been very quiet for me this winter, I was flat out this time last year. I think its down to the very mild weather we have been having here in NI. Hopefully we'll get a cold January!
  15. Dexta your going to be there a while raking that sawdust up mate
  16. You have made two spelling mistakes in your last post, 'sentance' and 'useing'. Perhaps you should focus on your own grammar skills before slagging off other peoples?
  17. I did the same with mine, the key snapped off in the lock one day and I just drilled it out. We now use a pair of long nose pliers as the 'key'.
  18. I only have about 10m3 of seasoned softwood left and about 20m3 of seasoned hardwood, but have plenty of freshly cut wood. Give me a call on 07884412853 if your interested. Im based in Lisburn.
  19. What sort of stuff are you looking for? Processed/cord, seasoned/fresh? I don't have much seasoned stuff left but ive got plenty of fresh stuff.
  20. What a fascinating thread, keep them coming!
  21. That seems very cheap, was it a good job?
  22. Its currently red and in fair condition, I was thinking of getting it sprayed bright green then sign written. Do you reckon it would be over £1k?
  23. Does anyone have a rough idea of what it might cost to get a L200 resprayed?
  24. I have recently given up net bags as there is just too much work in bagging them up/handling, etc. I now only do ton bags or loose with the majority of people preferring the ton bags. My preferred method is selling full truckloads (4 cubic metres), ive found this to be the most profitable and has the least amount of handling. I am considering barrow bags however if I can find some at a decent price.
  25. I doubt there will be a TPO on a 7' high tree! And I wouldn't bother about insurance yet, you could probably do all that work with a silky.
