  1. When you say a 'set' do you mean 2 or 4 blades?
  2. Just out of interest, how often do you guys turn your blades round on your greenmech chippers and what do you pay to get them sharpened?
  3. Do you mind me asking how much you paid for it?

  5. Good job, im sure its a bit harder than you would have liked but you have to keep the client happy.
  6. Can you not just switch your saw to silenced mode?
  7. I just use the Iveco tipper, can get 4 ton bags in or 4m3 of logs. I reverse up to where the logs are being dropped off and just drag the bags out, its really a two man job but I can do it on my own if I have to.
  8. Just spotted this ad on gumtree, seems like a good price. Goldoni EURO 40RS | County Down | Gumtree

    Pro!

The chainsaw-wielding man’s lack of a step ladder cost him when he decided sitting on the tree he was cutting down sounded like a great idea. I don't think not having a step ladder was his problem!
  12. That's a nice job. How many truckloads of brash do you reckon you'll have to remove Scott?
  13. That has got to be the best Arb truck ive seen.
  14. Did you not leave anyone there to let her know not to park there?
  15. Thanks for all the replies guys, im getting the impression that it may be too light/under powered to do what I need. I'll have to do a bit more research first.
  16. No its flat, however its in a very low area just a few feet above the water table, the potholes are constantly full of water in winter.

  18. I would love too but I only rent the yard and don't fancy spending £10k+ getting it done!!
  19. The first time the potholes appeared I just threw some blinding in and levelled it off, that lasted about a week. Then I did the same but went over it with the compactor plate afterwards, that lasted about a month. The concrete was only slightly better. Im fed up fixing them and its costing me time and money. I need a longer lasting and more cost effective solution.
  20. I thought it was the weight of the grader (approx. 300kg) that pushed the spikes down into the stones?
  21. The stone lane that leads up to our yard is constantly getting pot holes which I have up until now, been filling in with concrete, however this only lasts a few months before breaking up and disappearing. I have been considering in investing in a box grader to drag behind my tractor (36hp) to break up the surface and level it off, therefore filling in the potholes. This is the sort of thing I was looking at: Grader Boxes | Oxdale Products Before I splash out £600 I want to be sure that this will do the job. The stones in the lane are very heavily compacted and im wandering wether this will actually be able to break them up enough to level them out. The lane is about 100m long. Any advice?
  22. Imagine having so much firewood that you could actually drive up onto it!
