  1. Over here stihl had a bad batch of chains coming out. Temper was wrong and even snapping chains for no reason. This was in 325 3/8 so maybe the PS3 was effected too.
  2. It dont matter to me if it is a 46cc OE 346 or a 50cc NE 346. Now if you are running stock and bucking the 50cc is nicer. But if you are limbing the 46cc handles much nicer and tad lighter and higher rpms. JMO since I owned 1 46cc and 2 50cc. I like the 46cc versions for limbing. Here is my woods ported 46cc 346 running 3/8 full chisel chain and 7T and out cuts a muffler modded 262xp and runs right with a 365 SP. All saws ran same chain stihl RS and 7T gear.
  3. What about the 200 rear handle version? If you are wanting light.
  4. I have a 088 service manual on pdf. Dont know if to big to email or not. 25MB is max to go through. Use a drywall screw and pull the caps off. JMO.
  5. Active is from Italy Links and info in this thread. Active Italian made chainsaws
  6. You can have all of that but if you dont have good compression she isnt going to go. Put on a gage and check it and pull till needle stops moving up. Pull muffler and look for scored piston and stuck rings.
  7. I'm not good at explaining. This Madsen's link explains H and L to a t. Saw Carb Tuning
  8. The husky 560xp in small mount and 562xp in large mount should be out over your way soon. Heard of a 555 too. Who knows till they hit the market.
  9. Over here the 5101 has a catalytic muffler from what I was told. The 5100 muffler is a bolt on replacement. Just so you know to check that out over there. Your guys 5101 probably has a good muffler from the get go. Let me know.
  10. Are you asking for a crankcase or a starter cover? Like he says 362 will work, but there is small mount early ones and large mount late run ones. The 372 365 also will do. You can use a jonsered 2171 2165 2163 2071, 2065 2063 if crankcase. Just put the husky tank on it. I have a 2171 crankcase with husky tank and covers.
  11. 441 sips fuel. To me it is like comparing a pirus = 441 to a corvette = 660, fuel makes power.
  12. The 16" on the Woods Ported 066 also wears 25" and 32" and can go all day long. No decomp redlight top end and covers with updated poly crankcase. The piped 084 was for racing, but you could put a muffler on it, air filter and change out the shaved cut flywheel and go cut if you wanted to. The other 084 was a woods ported 084 and wears a 50" bar ripping hardwoods. The muffler cover with pipe in pic didnt work out ( aimed wrong way and would burn your freaking hand on a flush cut). Making my own cover like a dual port 660 cover provided more power and quicker cut times using a husky deflector aimed the right way. 25" 066 with my best 5ci racechain goofing off set rich at 14k. 8T [ame] [/ame] work woods ported 084 pulling 11T [ame] [/ame]
  13. Oh a couple of 16's on a couple of 084 too.

    stihl 084av

I guess if you must only have 1 big saw you mise well get you one. and the 2 3120 wasnt even in this pic 084 was my favorite big saw
  15. Just going on a WAG here. It almost sounds like the saw is out of tune. Idling to high causing the chain to turn? Thne with the to high rpm the clutch shoes are engaged in the drum and when you put on the hand brake it locks her up. Bam done shut off.
  16. Seal All in yellow tube red letters and also JB weld works good too. http://www.eclecticproducts.com/sealall.htm
  17. I have a 268SE XP with a fresh 272 afm topend rebuild with a few tanks put through it since. Just sets on my shelf.
  18. Over here it is Stihl 63 PS3 square cutter round chisel 3/8LP. Few pics I took of a loop I snagged.

    Tachometer

The new stihl tachs are a slow 1.5 second refresh rate as is the Bailyes tachs, to slow for my liking. You want a tach with .5 second refresh rate that the old stihl tachs were or the newer Tech tach TT-20k or fast tach. Amick's carries a good line of new tachs with .5 refresh rates here in the US for $85 USD. The cheapie tachs i call them for $20-$25 have a 2.5 second refresh rate. IF I were buying one today, this is my choice. DTI Tech Tach TT-20K Small 2 Cycle Two Stroke Tachometer Two and Four Cycle Tachs Tachometers
  20. You realize it just isn't a bolt on deal putting on the 064 right?
  21. WhatI thought about the latest generation of NWP BB 066 is in this thread. Link http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/26792-genuine-non-genuine.html
