  1. Maybe this is the problem with your 560xp's over there. NOT ME= I was down at my dealer picking up some parts, and spied about 20 562XP's in boxes. When I asked about them, I was told that they were going back to Husky due to a recall. The recall was for defective ignition modules. They had no eta on replacements and/or a fix. The 555 was not included in the recall.
  2. Here is a thread I did on my Chainsawrepair site. The 7 and 8 are just to slow for the money IMHO. Lot better and faster tachs on the market. Here is link to thread. Chainsaw Tachometer choices
  3. I like my 372's and have a 272 as a back up to back up to back up that never sees use since new rebuild and afm 272xp topend put on. If you want a 268xp built with a 272xp top and willing to pay shipping I PHO
  4. I wonder if your guys problems with the 560xp has anything to do with them pulling the 562xp back from dealers here before being sold to customers already. The 555 is still no problems. It's also without the rev boost. Hmmmmmmmm
  5. Here we go hooking up our chainsaws to a diagnostic machines for a check up at a $100 a whack.
  6. I never did av's on a 440, but on the 034 if you put one in the wrong location it could do that. That means you have 2 in the wrong area. I also had a 034 I took in trade that was way off with a MS360 tank on it. I thought the mounts were switched and they wasnt. Just the way it was going to be with a 034 with MS360 tank on it.
  7. Man I dont care if it is blue 7901 or redish-orange 7900. That is the strongest stock saw in the 70cc-80cc saw out there IMHO and usally at a much lower cost then the other brands. They will flat eat stock 372 375 440 460 etc. JMO after owning or running them all. Only one stronger was the Solo 681 81cc, 681 AV was horrible though, felt like to soft springs. I did like the new updated black 7900 covers with pre-filter built in them.
  8. Just remember if you go to buy a new 365 and it has XT and a decompression button on top in the top cover it is actually a 70.7cc saw and is just a de-tuned 372 XT strato saw. The older 365 has decomp on side of cylinder and 65cc. There is no comparison between a 357 56.5cc and the 365 special 65cc in the cut bucking. PHO of 365 is 1lb more then 357. Now if wanting a limbing saw I would drop to a 346 for the weight.
  9. Taken a 2171 crankcase out of a orange husky tank, handle and covers and putting it back to a 2171. Instead of a 2171 that looks like a 372. Going to use the husky stuff to put another 372 together with.
  10. 2 different 365 out there. 1 is open port and the other is closed port, quad transfers like 372 = 365 special on tag. I have only ran the 365 SP and it is the best 65cc saw I have run to date. Now if you want more rpm type saw. Look at the 362 362xp smaller single transfers 1mm smaller bore, I have one of those still too and came in small mount early and later ones went large mount. Not near as much torque as the 365 SP. But rpms like a mad hornet. 365 is built on the 372xp crankcase, just 2mm smaller bore. Basically a xp saw for cheaper price. Oh all my info was for the older 365 363 372. NOT for the new XT strato ones. The 365 XT 71cc is a detuned 71cc 372xp XT
  11. Do you guys have the non xp 555 that is a 560 without the rev boost? Try one if you do. No problems here with that one.
  12. Any idea what the problem is with the 560xp cutting out on your saws. Husky or dealer got back with anyone? We have the 555 without the rev boost and it seems to be a screamer out of the box. Blows away the 357xp in test cuts and has been tested with 28" bar and 32" for fun by a member on Chainsawrepair site. We are only getting 562xp with large mount and 555 for the small mount from what dealers have told us.
  13. Before I lend any loaner chainsaw. I show where bar oil goes and tell to top off every tank of fuel. Then I explain mix in fuel. Some people are only as smart as you tell them or teach them. Never ever hand a chainsaw over and assume they know what to do. I have a partner 550 out on loan right now. Just wanted some more run time and feedback after rebuild on it, that I cant give it right now.
  14. Little hint, use grease or vaseline to hold all 4 pieces of solder on piston top and check all 4 at once when cylinder is put back on carefully. I only check through sparkplug hole on a running saw that is not torn down yet.
  15. How much was that NOS top end here in the states? I only know of 1 and Al Smith owns that 70 down the bean fields from me.

    084

I havent had a new updated MS880 in my hands yet with new style muffler. I have only been in the older MS880. They should have called the new updated one something difference like 881

    084

Just so you know the 084 088 MS880 piston is the same.
  18. 235 pho 10.3lbs 346 OE pho 45cc 10.6lbs 346 NE pho 50cc 11lbs
  19. 235 is a poulan 3516 basically with coil spring AV. Both have 35cc poulan heart. I took one in on trade and I muffler modded it and retuned carb, was lots better. Run some stihl ps3 my first choice, pmc or oregon vxl or carlton and it sawed alot better. 435 is a lighter and faster cutting husky built saw.
  20. I've never heard of this on the MS660's. Could you share some pics please.
  21. Went in to add to post and it wouldnt let me. Said I only had 10mins to do so. hmmmm Warning do not run a little pipe in a muffler cover like in the pic. Some dumb a put it in that way and it burns the piss out of your hand on a flush cut. I gave it away pos imho and put a husky deflector on the other cover and aimed it like a oem dual port 066 046 cover. Stihl had it right on the DP covers. Lot better and better performance then too.
  22. I'm sure a 18 will be just fine. I like dropping to a 16 myself. 066 16-32 and the 084 in the pic runs 16" to a 50" , 50 for ripping hardwoods.
  23. 4 stroke chainsaw in 50cc class has been around for 5 years or so over here. Made by Dolmar. Never actually seen one for sale yet, but then again my dealer isnt on top of the game.
  24. I'm curious what do you guys pay per drive link or 25' roll for the new 63PS3. How about the 3/8 RSC and etc?
  25. PMC compared to PS3 cutter.
