  1. A 046 with 460 tank in a box and grocery sack dropped off. One stihl dealer had it for 2 weeks and gave a estimate of $700 to fix. Another small engine shop had it a month and was close to the same. So I got a call and the guy drove a hour one way to have me go through his new to him saw. (bought not running from tree service) I had it a hour figured out why it stopped running and scored 1/4" area in the process. I ordered $100 in parts (including a new DP muffler set up) and that will fix it up. Little more labor and she should be done next week when parts arrive.

    Husky 365

You know there is 3 different 365's I hope. The older 365's came in closed port and open port and 65cc. The one with 365 Special on it was usually closed port and the one to go for on the older ones. The new 365XT is 70.7cc and the bargain of the century. Pull transfers and grind the restrictor divder out of transfer covers and you got your self a 372xp XT.
  3. I have had 2 autotunes now and I take them to a wood pile and run them in long buried cuts over and over for 5mins and havent seen any problems. Sometimes when the weather changes they are searching on a new start up and might seem fat or lean till the first cut.
  4. MS440, 322L, 236, XL2 I gave a 200t crank and piston away to friend. Just dont own a 200 anymore and it wasnt needed.
  5. Just having a little fun on a rebuild. Wild Things 42c to 83cc
  6. IMO Heck Yes. I just rebuilt another 83cc poulan 505 myself and also own a echo 8000 80cc. The new top end kits are suppose to be even better. If one is needed update. Thread on chainsaw repair site with comparison pics. scroll down and the pics are embedded. echo 8000 piston and cylinder pics - newest
  7. Depends on what I am doing. So I voted 3. Free hand, file guide, bench grinder.

    346xp

You looking for spur drums or replaceable rim sprockets?
  9. Depends on if it is a open port or closed port one on the revving. Both were made. The closed port cylinder 365 ones you would have a hard time telling the difference in them and a 70.7cc 372. Quad port and all at same rpm settings.
  10. 5020 545 pics This is the 5016. The bar is the black plain 16" 3/8 050 bars in K041 mount you can buy new still. I converted this K041 mount long ago to be able to run it on my huskys too with K095 mount, so it works on the 5016 too.
  11. Poulan 5020 Mine 5016. I like 16" bars on 50cc saws.
  12. 346xp - 550xp
  13. I had to buy a 545 to test out to compare. Here they cost about $100 USD less then 550. 545 is the replacement for the 353. IMO the 545 out of the box on 1st tank will cut with or out cut a 50cc 346 that is already broken in. If I was blindfolded I wouldnt be able to tell you the difference in cut between 550 545. JMO Only differences I found so far is the 545 dont have bells on crank or rev-boost. Last number on cylinder part number is different and last number on transfer covers different. Physically I see no differences or in running. Oh and I just had to know how the under $200 50cc PP5020AV was. Needs carb adjusted right out of the box. Just so you know. Clamshell design, but worthy of occasional use saw.
  14. Guys are into collecting the twins, so you will have no troubles selling it to a collector IMHO.
  15. echo twin I hear is a turd in the cuts underpowered for a 61cc saw. Just a collectible saw. I have ran a solo twin and it is a beast of a saw way ahead of it's time. Also a 100cc saw so there is quite a advantage there.
  16. The dolmar 3/8 chain I had was just re-branded oregon. 7/32 file.

    xp 346

    50cc 346 I like 3/8 16" -- 45cc 346 stock .325 16"
  18. Do some guys really dont know that much about chainsaws.
  19. I didnt see anything about the 2 346's being ported in OP's post. Maybe I missed it. Ported saws throw out the rule books. I have one that I turn up to 16.8K
  20. NE 346 cant be tached at 14.5K without changing out the blue coil to a black one (then IMO it would be way to lean for a STOCK NE 50cc 346). The blue ones are rev-limited here to 14.1K and I try to keep them adjusted on the safe side at 13.8K. OE 346 45cc were 14.7K stock.
  21. Poulan Pro 325 = Partner 5500 2nd one I have had.
  22. Looking for a IPL for the stihl 201. Anyone have one to share? Ground won the battle on a friends saw dropped from a tree.
  23. I wish we could get the 560. Friend ended up taking a 555 putting 562 transfers on it and the crank stuffers. Then updated the software to get a homemade 555/560 here.

    Echo CS-3600

From what I know on the 3900 made 3 years only in early 90's. I would guess the 3600 would be close to that since on same IPL. Here the 3900 was close to $299 USD new I was told by the oringal owner of one of my 3900. Yours look like these? squashed 3900 parts saw I get in.
  25. Had 3 benches full. Glad we had a 45F day to get through them all. Except for the 2 PP505 83cc projects and 1 echo 45cc 4500 project. #2 echo 4500 remind of the OE 346 45cc x2 338 and some go juice another 346 NE
