I ran a race ported one at races few years ago. So I wanted to pick up a stock one to see how they ran for real. I lost all interest in anything ported and I owned them all ported at one time.

Not bad at all for a stock saw . 32" buried ripping.
  3. She is.
  4. Yes. Amazing what you end up with after a few to many brews one night.
  5. You can make a clutch cover from a husky 268 272 66 266 61 etc. I have before.
  6. $5 USD and under last time I got them.
  7. I used to buy them 5-6 at a time. Stihl 460 rescue handles. Best D ring out there IMO. I also set them up higher when I was cold start racing chainsaws.
  8. 025 350 365 3450 181 Think I am going to like the 181SE for my own personal saw . Like I need another 80cc saw. I was going to throw a 288 topend on it but after reading and learning about the 181 thin ring saws and how good they pulled. This saw dont need the 288 top.
  9. The curse 350 rebuild picked up yesterday and 2 more came in same hour. 025 grrrrrrrr and a 365 yeah.
  10. Just so you know. Dolmar 166 and Stihl 660 POLY flywheel removal tool. It is the same threads as the dolmar 166 flywheel since I owned both saws. The clutch tool for echo 3 prong style well remove clutch on husky 550 545. Just to save you some $
  11. That afm 54mm looks to short total and skirts length just like the 52mm afm one. Only one way you will find out. All of this stuff is already posted on Chainsaw Repair site. See if you can tell the 52mm to short one.
  12. If that 54mm afm piston kit fits like the 52mm afm piston kit you better pass and use a 066 piston. Thats what I did and other on Chainsaw repair site. I have pics of the 52mm piston comparison and you can see why you might not like. In 475 2077 thread Chainsaw Repair - Index I own them all 65cc 71cc 77cc 83cc all rounded off to high cc. to ST
  13. I have no training either to the law if you have one. But make and sell chains too. Just freaking crazy IMO From experience. I was making up my own chains for my own use one time when I had way to many pints. I had to stop and just walk away as I could tell things wasnt right. Well being blind toasted I had really messed up and had to break my own chains back apart and redo next day when sober. DONT DRINK and make CHAIN.
  14. If you got other saws to do it's work right now. Build it. If you dont, buy another saw that will and build it on your free time. Either way IMO build it.
  15. 4 pak $3 4 PC Valve Cores for 1 4" SAE Fittings Replacement Schrader Valve Cores | eBay
  16. ebay search Valve Cores for 1/4" SAE Fittings Replacement Schrader Valve Cores 10 pak like $6 USD. Lot 10 Valve Cores for 1 4 SAE Fittings Replacement Schrader Valve Cores | eBay
  17. I ran full 3/8 on my 550 and 545 from the get go. If that is what you are asking.
  18. Pull the valve and see what color the plastic is? Like white, red etc. Then just buy the valves online dirt cheap in 3pak to 10pak.
  19. Had a echo 4500 45cc and it is pro grade like a OE 346 and cc. Feels, weight and balance the same as the 46cc 346. Runs the same too. Echo 5000 nice pro grade 50cc I would take over the stihl 026 260 saws any day.
  20. Move along salesmen. Dont want to hear your pitch.
  21. What a freaking salesman. I use my echo ppt 260 extended all the way out and yes it does get heavy after a few hours. Like new trade in and love it. Wouldnt trade it for anything. But no way in heck am I going to try some freaking contraption that cost $360.00 and walk around with it cutting. I own the older echo 8000 and like it but heavy for a 81cc saw. Took in trade. Own a older 6700 67cc echo. Took in trade. Reminds me of the husqvarna 365 special in weight and balance but little less power. Got a little top handle 341 used cheap. Decent little saw and ok to 1 hand with. Liked my 338 better for 1 handing though. All echo chainsaws need a muffler mod and carb retune to wake them up IMO. Some of the newer echo's I would look at are the 590 600 620 355T 550 271T 500 680 800
  22. 084 088 880 all same piston.
  23. If NE 346 50cc it will have a rev limited coil around 14.1k (unless somebody changed it). Beware it may not be 4 stroking you are hearing.
  24. I get guys that drop off saws for a tune up. Maybe this is what you are asking. I sharpen the chain, adjust rakers $5 USD. Check bar, clean bar groove and square up if needed, check plug, replace if needed, clean air filter, replace if needed, carb tune if needed, check oiler, check fastners, rope, pulley, av's etc, usually all can be done for under $20 labor plus parts.
  25. I run the stihl 63PS and 63PS3 on my husky 338 and echo pole pruner. Just order the chain to fit the drive link count of your saw, not the stihl bars. The oregon husky echo bar lengths in 14" just tad longer is all.
