  1. Thats the break I was talking about. Cracks at mount area or right off like those.
  2. So you guys breaking the sugi LW bars over there? Been seeing some posted over the years and now a video. I like the Tsu bars myself. Dealer told me he sees way less Tsu breaking compared to what he called common problem with the sugi LW bars.
  3. Jason Egan is porting the 462 and 572 for loggers. The 572 seems alittle ahead with its long stroke it has. Sound real good. I want 1 of each still to try. But I keep buying used ? so keep spending the saw $ up. 2 more today. Jonsered 2163 and a 490. P+C in both like new still.
  4. Thats a easy one. I wont use acid anymore. My 3 step plan and 3 is a fresh crosshatching. Not needed. But I feel it helped in my racesaw rebuild so I do it in work saws now too. Remove with flapper, check by hand with emery clothe. Crosshatch. #3 not needed like I said.
  5. Measure your bore if you can clean it up. That way you can make sure on 44mm or not. http://s30387.gridserver.com/partsDiagrams/Husqvarna 50 Special.pdf
  6. Bet your cylinder could be cleaned up and just use a piston kit.

  9. LOL guess he dont want the one I have on hand. No biggie. Later Heck R.D. is right here in my state and I dont buy from him myself. He thinks everything is made of gold. ?
  10. I had a P550 too. You just want the clutch drum part number? Pretty sure 55 65 70 7000 650 550 all the same for drum use. Thread http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/partner/partner-550-p70-7000/
  11. I have this. But in US. Been parting one out. If you get lucky it might be a replaceable rim drum. Not sure if spur or rim style.

Get a kick out of them when I walk over and fire up one of my poulans setting on the shelf for them. 1 pull cold start one time. ??. Tell them if my freaking poulans started like their stuff I would be pizzed.
  15. Pic is a MI dealer. But prices can be had at MI and NY dealer on CR
  16. 800usd for the 572 here with a retail price of 999usd. Lot better priced then the 1100usd 462
  17. So with the bigger lower end of the 572. Do you think the 59? will be using that with bigger bore. Guy hinted to running one years back in PNW Canada. At the time we were thinking he may have been talking about the 572 though. Somewhere in here. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/husqvarna/new-70cc-huasqvarna-572/
  18. High retail here with 20" 999.99usd Following along to see how they are holding up

    Stihl 462

Local 440 I get in from a firewood cutter. Hate the HD filter system myself and had it on 066's 084's myself when I ran them.
  21. Cut4fun

    Stihl 462

Maybe try the other filter for 462? Shown in the IPL I posted above.
  22. Cut4fun

    Stihl 462

Guy running a HD2 on a 088 local. I showed him his filter after just testing cutting after carb rebuild and tunning with 41" in ash. Told him to get a outwears prefilter and give it a try. Dang thing was was full in the pleats. But these saws dont have air injection and the HD filter systems suks IMHO.
  23. Cut4fun

    Stihl 462

Pretty sure it has a bigger version of a round air filter like on Type 2 261. Thinking they have went air injection like the huskys now too. Not sure on this though. But would help stop the fines getting into af. New updated solenoid is white. The 462's here come with them. If you got the black only matter of time before. I know a logger that is testing one out with 28" for commercial logging. No problems yet. There is a regular carb version. Thanks for info
