    Stihl 462

So any of you folks been running them for awhile? Any issues with oilers etc? Just wonder how they are holding up. 16" 1099.99 rest in pic of OH dealer.
  2. Sent a poulan 475 NOS topend kit to a gent over in UK for a partner 7700 not long ago.
  3. I had forgot all about this forum till today for some reason. Just a shout out. 83cc that cracked a crank and took out the topend recently. Retired in 2017 from regular job and just working on saws on the side now. Hope to enjoy reading on the latest out over your way.
  4. I hate 043 chain and updated a 180 I gave dad for a preset to 050 14" from 043 16". Lot better chain selection in 050. ')
  5. Tested zama to compare to the bigger walbro on a ported oem 74.66cc top. No difference in cut times to worry about. Some folks get all crazy with the bigger better theory. But it is just a chainsaw and it is cutting wood. It's a WORK saw not a race saw where it would matter. Use what you got IMO
  6. Trouble shooting this one was fun fun fun It was a first for me.
  7. I've ran 16's on 084's 066's. 372 easy peasy too.
  8. $25 USD was oem here. $10-$15 for the aftermarket ones You do realize the stihl zama ones are from china too. Stihl bought the china plant long ago.
  9. Carbs here with H and L just under $25 USD. How does that compare to what you are paying?
  10. I had a 310 echo in. They are a turd. Look at the echo line 370 400 450 etc. JMO Stay away from the over priced stihl homeowner saws IMO 171 181 211 etc.
  11. I sold a running cutting ported one with b+c for $800 Sold one on alky/nitro and tuned pipe and muffler for $1200. 3rd one I had was parts saw. I gave it to guy buying my other 2 because he bought both. That ebay one a parts saw IMO

Other saws you may want to look to get parts from. No reds or orange cross over that I am aware of. Partner Pioneer parts 55 65 550 650 P70 7000 I only have a recoil shell and complete clutch cover with brake set up left.
  17. I owned one and couldnt wait to get rid of it. Under-powered. Then flip side. The guy that traded me out of it loves them for trimming apple trees and owns like 6 of them. Thread with pics and info Echo 280
  18. 570 is just a smaller bore 575. I had 570 with a OE 365. I prefer the 365. Still 570 bought cheap is good saw too. Little heavy and under powered for 68cc but ripped oak just fine with 20"
  19. Run full skip chain if you have your doubts. Heck I put a 36" 119DL really 37" IMO with full comp to test a 76.5cc poulan out in a rip cut. I sure hope the husky 73.5cc can pull a 28" no problems. Recommended bar length, max 28 in PER HUSKY
  20. If it is a new 365 and has x-torq on it, it is 70.7cc already.
  21. 555 is a 560 detuned. Missing crank stuffers etc. 555 is best bang for buck in husky echo 590 best bang for buck in 60cc all around. $300-$400 USD
  22. Must not be a member. Forgot about the links not showing. There is 2 of them. Will try to upload for you all here. I give up. Cant find them on my HD. Only on the site.
  23. Piston Failure Analysis Piston Failure Analysis
  24. Playing with 16" and square filed chain.
  25. Ran a 16" on my ported 066. Also ran 32"
