  1. Better really to buy the proper ramps in the long run- they last and you won't slip when its wet. They wont move on the truck. Plus if someone hurts themselves your insurance won't have a get out.
  2. Nah-just use chip grease:biggrin:
  3. Jesus- I've had people with issues but this takes the biscuit. Did they ever catch the 30 year old black woman. I'm thinking his work mates were preoccupied with saving him rather than chasing her. We're on street work in London in a couple of weeks- hoping we don't come across this sort of thing. Do we put it in the risk assessment? Ha
  4. Is that an Arbtalk sticker you've managed to get on the truck- thats fast work
  5. You can get a good rock harness for about £50. Why compromise your work one.
  6. synesthesia- just looked it up. Hope it doesn't cause you too much frustration mate.
  7. tip site for woodchip then sell to biomass boys
  8. to help the area of the garden is roughly 30x25sq.m.= 750sq.m. call it a thousand for ease A square kilometer is 1000m by 1000m = 1 million sq.m. your garden is roughly one thousandth of a square kilometer. Personally I wouldn't work in such big numbers when calculating- just do square metres- it's what most people use unless you're a farmer. I'm liking the number colour thing
  9. Hi Rich

Still on for the 6/7th December?

I've got Mike Simpson who I think you know down for aerial rescue/groundie

We've done the Sevenoaks job and I thought the Sidcup Beech dismantle and Plane reduction would suit. Theres a bit of TM which we can do. If you want to see the job its at Okley Court on Main Road Sidcup between alder road and appledore crescent. We have done all the council checks so it's a go. We'll need your 066 and rigging kit for this. There will probably be a fair bit of free Beech if you know anyone locally who's interested.

    John

  10. Congrats I would have made the same decision.
  11. And I thought I travelled a lot for work.
  12. Surely £75 a day including your overheads/holidays is close to £55 a day on the books anyway. £18K in 12 months time is an OK wage though not microsoft.
  13. not to burn? or good to burn? I've got a split van load sweating buckets at the moment.
  14. How many tons of leaves- depends whether you can tip for free
  15. I melted mine last year but bashed it back into shape so:thumbup:
  16. I get this= they ring back more and more desperate but it doesn't take much to realise they know FA. If someone complains then it's bye bye. Not arrogantly but just to let them know you are no fool.
  17. grinding is great fun albeit financially rewarding
