  1. Very good post Proper landscaping and horticultural knowledge is skilled work. Qualified staff can hold their heads up. Tree climbers are usually just monkeys. Quick... duck
  2. With 4 fires in your house will be roasting:001_rolleyes:
  3. If they can sell supermarket water so cheap then I don't understand the packaging reason for the cost. Would they ever install it on the petrol pumps- can't see the demands ever being high enough even if 2 stroke oil was banned. £3 per litre is too high. The govt need to remove tax for health reasons if it really is that good for us. They will save the money in health costs reduction. I'm sitting on the fence- we have tried it but I am waiting for the cost to fall before diving in. Believe me I do want to go down this route but for now the cost can't really be justified. Or can it:confused1:
  4. Can't help thinking that we just need more sticks.
  5. That guy with 25 staff should know better. There is a requirement to monitor but I guess reasonable practicable comes into play. On the same subject- does anyone know of any anti vibration gloves that actually work for the fingers not the palms. The ones I find are designed for jack hammers not hedge cutters.
  6. Is it a home from the heart= all eco and funky or is it a more traditional builders house if you know what I mean.
  7. Ah So the reason is if the hitch ball breaks Micks system won't apply the brake. I would have thought it would. Can anyone see why it wouldn't.
  8. Thats what I both love and hate about this forum. I wasn't aware of the restriction on chipper security- chain it on. Now I am I can stay legal but vulnerable. Great. So basically while you are driving, you have to have no security protection. Presumably you can't use the inbuilt lock on the Timberwolf either. I don't get this. Not sure why it's wrong to have it locked to the truck. How is this a bad thing?
  9. I'd be interested to hear. I've broken about half a dozen over the years.
  10. The worst thing is when one tooth breaks off. Completely messes up the cut to the point of making the cutter useless.

  12. Interesting that my son has got the knack of using a grinder so I've stopped trying to explain how to do it. I'm saying he's better than me= proud dad.

  14. Iron tucked in a hedge has seen off quite a few of our blades. I found the cheapest option once they were bent or broken was a whole new stihl end unit at about £200.

  16. You are dreaming if they are stihl= usually £85 unless you have a special source

  18. The test of a sharp hedge cutter is conifer hedges box and genista. The gold standard.

  20. The old man was an engineer with Perkins diesel but I gravitated elsewhere. Am getting more of an interest as I age though. That Peugeot engine sounds like an amazing experiment.
