  1. whoever told them that should be fired. They shouldn't pass on that sort of information.
  2. This left and right is all poppycock Also poppycock is arris rail , drive the nails home etc. The fence is yours if it is on your land. Look on the deeds to help. You can now get featheredge panels on slotted posts. The person whose land it is 'entirely' on decides. Mind you, if I had a boundary fence I would like the arris rails on the inside to help prevent people climbing over. As do most blokes. Women on the other hand like to see the pretty featheredge. It's a sex thing.
  3. Sounds like the jury is still out on that one then. Only one person having a really bad time with it. Anyone else got any personal experience with it. My mind is thinking like the Flymo/ long grass comment. Sounds like it's basically a battery silky rather than an all day saw.
  4. I'm guessing you mean small uncomplicated stuff and not ivy wound conifers
  5. We had quite a bit on here about this saw a couple of months ago. Can anyone further my knowledge. If you bought one or used one, how do you now rate it. Now the novelty has worn off.
  6. I hope I remember to. Loving fruit with stuff these days Blueberries are great with a fry up. Also with bananas.
  7. Next time you cut some logs, smell them.... Unmistakeable smell of petrochemical even with pine. Thats the chain oil on the wood. Do you really want used engine oil to finish up in someones living room. Similarly, would you dump a can of used oil in the forest if you are working there. Thats why they like bio oil. Simples.
  8. Dear Stihl I've bought your products for 20 years or more and increasingly so even in the light of the 261 fiasco, plus 2 mix issues (noisy or what) Your recent change in selling policy will affect me and my business profitability. I could say more
  9. Am I the only one who doesn't really like that burr look. Must be an acquired taste:001_smile:
  10. Had issues with the single wheel version- rear wheels have come loose twice now. Think it might be due to overloading:blushing:
  11. Cheers- I'm out of contract and need to get a better deal. So far they've offered to double BB speed to 20mb but still £45pcm.
  12. Thats so 'old school' it's scary
  13. Ian Does that include any TV packages. Our Virgin is sky sports and other standard TV. £72 per month. I'm sure the broadband is only 10mb and we don't have TiVo.
  14. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
  15. :thumbup1:and kids love playing in the branches. I guess 'tidy' or 'legally responsible' will win this one and it will be removed.
  16. If the option is there sometimes first aid is best left to someone less connected to the patient. Anyway- heads bleed lots. Women sometimes panic. Kids always have scrapes. You'll be fine. Just need to go on those' get out of costume' courses- try and get your time down a bit:001_smile:
  17. I'm liking the power broom at the end. Never used one of those- must give it a try.
  18. Is this a photo of the tree or the neighbours washing:001_smile:
  19. Whatever it takes. Depends what you want in life. Budget price- low hours Bling and sparkly- high hours. Don't complain- you're in charge.
  20. Sorry, just venting. I may come back to this.
  21. Gets through planning but what happens when they fell the surrounding trees- they then look a bit daft. I think they'd be better making them works of art. Totally out of character with the environment. Might as well. Art trail.
  22. Who do you believe...........................................?
  23. I feel like the old world order has been reestablished.
  24. Surely these axes aren't indestructible. I could imagine a number of ways I could break the handle though up to now have avoided that. Having lent it to someone who I then caught splitting on concrete without a block. I could imaging THEM breaking one:sneaky2: Note to self- don't lend out my axe.
  25. Mash up A blast from the past- the things we did to get a load on. Never felt the need for chainsaw boots and trousers more than then perched on top of a pile of wobbly branches. Chipper is the only way if you can't burn on site The question is- how big:001_smile: BTW- France not allowing bonfires- thats worse than UK - unbelievable:001_smile:- I thought you could do what you wanted within reason over there.
