  1. Not very often I don't like to stress her. Plus the feet hit the floor and restrict wheelie height. We have dug 2ft holes and banged 17ft telewag poles down to 7ft left above ground on a cattle yard. The byrce only does 15ft hence the digging to save sawing ends off.
  2. I love 1st 3 films and have been disappointed since, I too have the hyperdrive in snow thing, absolutely brilliant. I want my memory erasing then I can be a stars wars virgin all over again. Now and when I buy SW lego and keep it in the box. Its a future investment. Wife bought me the lego ultimate millenium falcon. Over 5000 bricks. Cost about £400 now selling on ebay for 3 times that... Awwwhhh I've got to go and put my jim jams on now.. Good night.
  3. Here mate http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/30294-tempest-splitter.html
  4. Yes with twin assistor rams on linkage and 7 47kg weights on front plus quicke loader. It wouldn't lift it with the factory standard single ram. I think it weighs 2.1 ton. Had to fit a freeflow return. Not the ideal tractor. But no regrets on getting the Bryce, Awesome kit. Only problem is if you get a tight pointed corner or if you only have access on the one side of fence. i.e you can back up to a wall on your right side corner but not left. Seldom need to though.
  5. I intend getting tree climbers companion. Trouble is I've read alot of tree books, at least the stuff Im interested in. Recently I have diversed in to fiction. Which I normally don't read and have read a few star wars novels:blushing: I can recommend some of them if anyone is interested. Next I will be reading on the long flight to NZ DISTURBING THE UNIVERSE by Freeman Dyson and SURELY YOUR JOKING MR FEYNMAN and WHAT DO YOU CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK again about Richard P Feynman a brilliant scientist that didn't conform just to please others. I enjoyed his THE PLEASURE OF FINDING THINGS OUT.
  6. Not in transport position but about same width.
  7. Whilst this is right perhaps, also you shouldn't drive over 22mph. Swing or carry anything on the front of a telehandler on the highway except the attachment. Also weight and width restrictions on agri vehicles until 21 years old. But you see teenagers doing all these things and the plod on average doesn't know or care to know these regs. You will be fine with the knocker until an enthusistic officer goes after you or you have an accident. We have a bryce suma on a diddy little tractor and have never had any bother.
  8. :thumbup1:Blinding response, I hope to be there.
  9. Hi Eddie what times will you be at F G Adamsons this weekend?
  10. A fast arbtruck, stay low keep out of towns and cities? On a serious note, find out lots on here. Pay taxes do it to the best you know get the right insurance. Maybe start small. Do hedges and smaller trees, build it up. To start with you won't be able to be too fussy what you take on. But as it grows streamline your niche.
  11. :confused1:Meter readers????
  12. Im doing this soon. I have two 346s as well so don't intend replacing yet:thumbup:
  13. This is a personal irritation of mine too. I think in the highway code it is recommended to reverse into off highway accesses. Its bleeding common sense. Everyone sees what you are doing and most often they wait for you to get out the way. Having come home after a journey vehicle is excellent in internal visibility not misted not frosted over. Not to mention others are more likely to have poor visibility in a morning. In answer to your question its laziness and living in the present gormlessness. Think, plan ahead. Quick back in now. Quick pull out next time you need to use the motor.
  14. Looking at the volvo number plate. Not this side of a ferry ride!
  15. Strangely enough a couple of months ago an incident ocurred. Two men doused a woman in petrol. The police got there including helicopter before it got any further and caught them fleeing off site. They never got to the highway. I was fascinated. On an RTA I was at once. The copshop was only 4 minutes away but they turned up last of the services after 22minutes. The one that took charge was a little man but a huge irritation. I had guided traffic for the duration. He just parked diagonally and jammed rush hour traffic.

Top right corner under your name. I always use it.
  17. Because they are trying their best and they reason that part was faulty as well and contributed to it. They do a black magic thing that they think know one can see through. I've thought this when I see people take them back again and again.
  18. Looking at the berries and leaves I reckon its the Sorbus (whitebeam) family. I quickly googled this but Im not saying this is it exactly. I've not seen it before Perfect time to see Sorbus fruits - UBC Botanical Garden Forums
  19. Without wanting to get involved in a "Fight" it is poor component failure as the tractor will have relief valves and the machine will also. Hydraulic pipes should only fail at well over the rated pressure is reached or has been damaged by other means. Its a shame this is the outcome, its an imperfect world we all make mistakes. Just a shame we have this outcome, when it could of been so different by both parties. Peace Out.
  20. How long do we give Mr Bolams chart. I reckon end of weekend tops:blushing:
  21. I remember going to a dealers with the companys van. Mr Designer dude supervisor came to me thinking I was the boss. "Mr F....... would you like us to change the indicator bulb at the rear?" Knowing it worked when I drove it in. I replied " isnt it working?" "It works but the orange coating is peeling off" "How much?" "£11.64!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "No dont worry we will sort it" That was 11 years ago and it was a citreon berlingo van. I had a look, you didn't even need a tool, it was 2 plastic wingnuts at back of cluster to access. That sums up main dealers for me. Easy fixes for maximum profit. The owners are absolutely loaded and only interested in the money. So with that mentality how are the lads ever going to learn with the don't repair, chuck it and make big bucks. I agree with Deans OP and have personally rectified "Professional" failures many times despite being mainly self taught.
  22. Only way is to stop I've found. Its not painful but It keeps you awake. It could be swollen muscle/tissue trapping nerves. I do various self employed work so stop using hand held power tools. If you try using the search bar. There are lots of threads on this. Start with "pins" "needles" "strain" "injuries"
  23. Heee hee, you don't suffer carpel tunnel or other rsa conditions either. Bit more room in scotland I suppose as well. You should go into demolition.
  24. Steve Im baffled or got wrong end of stick:confused1: In Ty's aspen/chains on a roll thread, you only used a miserly amount of chain per year. Yet you want a digger to shift wood? Are you ripping them out roots and lot?
  25. Its a supply and demand game like world grain prices but on a village scale. I only keep my gear going and get a days pay out of it. I don't buy in wood. It gives me work when im slack, and what I enjoy about doing firewood. You just get on with it without everyone else interfering i.e no people to deal with. Bliss! No probs with the bull bars each to there own. My vans capability is limited. One day soon I am probably going to have to uprate my cargo capability.
