  1. I recollect seeing it recently
  2. I would probably evaluate things first. We made one as we had alot of the components already. Bearing in mind you will perhaps have adjustments and teething problems. 1. How much of your time will it take to get a functioning machine? Its suprising!! 2. What will it cost in components? 3. If you multiply your time by an your hourly rate and then add on the costs of things needed. If this is greater than what you can buy one for, I would buy as a professionally made one will have the appropriate safety features built in. Have a look at this thread http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/50435-show-us-your-log-splitters.html
  3. Nice set up. close coupled as well. Our bryce wouldn't fit though due to the back shift sections, they nearly touch the downlinks on our arms. Ours is a Profi supreme version. I assume Neil has a lighter version?
  4. For your sleeper at the bottom alder (alnus glutinosa) Is said to last indefinetly under water. Its used in piers etc. However I think the problem is where the water level is and you get air and moisture. Use a wide enough piece of 2 attached together I reckon it wont sink in that much.
  5. UK storm: Did broadband cabling cause thousands of trees to topple? | Mail Online If you look at the species of trees used here in the article pictures and the damage. I dont think utility works was a major culprit. Bad image to article content, what does anyone else reckon. By the way I do think bad utility works are harmful to trees.
  6. Yet they got away with it. Whereas if you put it up it causes grief.
  7. This book has the answer its written by a police officer, is easy to use and textbook style. I will root it out and find out. Agricultural Vehicles on the Road by McMahon, Andrew: New Police Bookshop 9780953305872 - Better World Books Ltd
  8. I think it was in the 90s. When welfare and sponging became a lifestyle choice. Less people to generate money, therefore speed cameras and over parasitic ways of getting money came to the fore. Therefore use white collar to administer theory and teach those who are already getting on with it. Reason for my dates. Would the miners, dockers, farmers etc of the 80s let it happen? Now none of these exist in the quantity they did.
  9. I too am sure its sorbus thibetica as linked in my earlier post on this thread I just didn't specificly name it. But it is yellow and in the link. Which peatff has just linked.

If only the univerity educated fake world Eurocrats and Bureaucrats knew this! Many are underperforming their capabilities due to a few bits of paper.

Try ebay then have a look at the sellers own website.
  12. If using microwave do it in short bursts over 24hrs. Type in microwave and look through old threads. I think I posted in one once upon a time, when it was discussed.

    Boiler stoves

Just another thought does your tank have alternative bungs you could use higher up. Mine does.
  14. I called in with work the other day at the truck curtain/sheet yard for a repair. Asked the lad if they sold 2nd hand curtains. Im getting an artic curtain 44x8ft for £10:thumbup: Maybe try your local. They probably have to pay to skip em usually.

Not a plumber. Depending on what tank set up you have, Hot stratifies to the top and you need a large portion of the tank hot before it takes the hot out. Otherwise it would rapidly cool to a useless temperature. So it makes sense and 45 isn't that hot.
  16. Never a good thing sorting the previous days odds and ends the next day. He did get an early start though.
  17. Most of his Films are pretty good. He is a selective actor and only does what he thinks will be good. Has made a few errors though. According to the geeks on the web.( I agree)Han Solo is what made star wars work. Seat of the pants winging it. Like good tree work. Instead the pantom menace. Everything was in control and going to work out fine. I thought Liam Neeson looked positively bored delivering his dialogue and Hayden ( a nobody) look as me Christianson was trying too hard I reckon. As Harrison Ford once famously is supposed to of turned round to Lucas and said "You can type S... , but you can't say it. Another interesting fact about Ford is when shooting Raiders of the lost ark the sword fight scene were he just pulls his gun and shoots the guy, was the last of many takes, because he had diahorea and couldn't hang about long enough so he improvised. Hopefully Disney will tame the excess action, bring in unknown actors that are good and give it a story. Hopefully.
  18. Not very often I don't like to stress her. Plus the feet hit the floor and restrict wheelie height. We have dug 2ft holes and banged 17ft telewag poles down to 7ft left above ground on a cattle yard. The byrce only does 15ft hence the digging to save sawing ends off.
  19. I love 1st 3 films and have been disappointed since, I too have the hyperdrive in snow thing, absolutely brilliant. I want my memory erasing then I can be a stars wars virgin all over again. Now and when I buy SW lego and keep it in the box. Its a future investment. Wife bought me the lego ultimate millenium falcon. Over 5000 bricks. Cost about £400 now selling on ebay for 3 times that... Awwwhhh I've got to go and put my jim jams on now.. Good night.
  20. Here mate http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/30294-tempest-splitter.html
  21. Yes with twin assistor rams on linkage and 7 47kg weights on front plus quicke loader. It wouldn't lift it with the factory standard single ram. I think it weighs 2.1 ton. Had to fit a freeflow return. Not the ideal tractor. But no regrets on getting the Bryce, Awesome kit. Only problem is if you get a tight pointed corner or if you only have access on the one side of fence. i.e you can back up to a wall on your right side corner but not left. Seldom need to though.
  22. I intend getting tree climbers companion. Trouble is I've read alot of tree books, at least the stuff Im interested in. Recently I have diversed in to fiction. Which I normally don't read and have read a few star wars novels:blushing: I can recommend some of them if anyone is interested. Next I will be reading on the long flight to NZ DISTURBING THE UNIVERSE by Freeman Dyson and SURELY YOUR JOKING MR FEYNMAN and WHAT DO YOU CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK again about Richard P Feynman a brilliant scientist that didn't conform just to please others. I enjoyed his THE PLEASURE OF FINDING THINGS OUT.
  23. Not in transport position but about same width.
  24. Whilst this is right perhaps, also you shouldn't drive over 22mph. Swing or carry anything on the front of a telehandler on the highway except the attachment. Also weight and width restrictions on agri vehicles until 21 years old. But you see teenagers doing all these things and the plod on average doesn't know or care to know these regs. You will be fine with the knocker until an enthusistic officer goes after you or you have an accident. We have a bryce suma on a diddy little tractor and have never had any bother.
  25. :thumbup1:Blinding response, I hope to be there.
