  1. Thanks Tony I knew there would be a deeper definition. I understand what your saying. I cannot recollect ever seeing naturalized anenomes in woodland. East Yorkshire was the most underwooded county in a survey a few years back.
  2. Aye first I thought it was a tiny tree!

    Fall Guy

P.S I even got my mum to get me the theme tune on 45rpm vinyl. Still got it, The side b was "Lust in ladys eyes" performed by Lee Majors. Absolutely disgusting. might be on you tube.

    Fall Guy

O dear!!!! now I realise where the fall guy fans went to... Arbtalk. That includes me, strange how brown and gold was cool. I almost cringe when I see how tacky it was. Tyres squealing on grass! Smashed up truck looking fine in the getaway. We was easily entertained. No regrets though, I went out there and had a go. Bikes, trees etc now its "don't try this at home!" Spoilsports, I bet that chevy has a good ol toilet flush carb as well kid!
  5. Tony you say indicator species. How does that work. I know they reckon you can tell the age of a hedge by the different species in a certain length, which I don't trust at all because now hedges are specified to have a greater mix of different species and in 30 years or so, you wont be able to tell hedge age if they have been laid or trimmed. Maybe Im just a sceptic. But I test it out for myself rather than being an easy yes man. I do imagine anenomes need a certain level of decay. Because they dont thrive in gardens naturally that well?
  6. Not verified, but is it a type of cockchafer beetle?
  7. Time to lay down the hatchet! The Arbtalk boys vs THE OTHERS!
  8. for real market value type item in ebay search then scroll down left column to show only then click the completed listings box. Items with price in red not sold, green is a sale. Hope that helps.
  9. OP:- It all depends on your situation. I wouldn't use a processor it will make the firewood expensive to produce. If you want rid and the space back, send to power station. If you aren't interested in doing the work, ebay it or sell it as is. If you aren't affluent in a money way, nibble at it 2 hrs here and there and you have alot of relatively cheap energy for yourself to heat your home. I have done this before and its amazing what you can shift, especially if there is two of you. Say one chop with axe and one with saw and share it.
  10. Took both pipes off Ka, thats the feed pressure hose both halves all the way from pump to rack. Took to local pirtek. They joined with a flexible rubber pipe. Just over £34:thumbup:
  11. In the process, the problem is everyone I have spoke to says ford have their own dimension union nuts. So Ive got to take another pipe off so they can chop out and put new pipe and union in. 1st place I tried was hydraulic shop and another one. Both asked me to check ford 1st for a quote incase I got a suprise due to the union issue. Another job for tomorrow.
  12. At the risk of been told off. I didnt want to spend more on flue than woodboiler/stove so hunted round local engineering specialist and got 2metre plus of stainless steel pipe, an offcut for £35. Bearing in mind the black enamel type can be £35 for 500mm lengths. I consider mine safer as there are no joints inside my home as I have a simple straight up flue.. Whilst regulations are there for good reason, I think it leads to ripoffs sometimes. But good to be informed by the likes of Alycidon because its the laypersons lack of info that lets them get away with it.
  13. Yes we'd like to know even if you just left it for now.
  14. Small power steering hose for wifes ford ka £268!!!!!!!!! Not paying. It probably worth £40
  15. Look at the reach on that high demolition crane Stevie Blair. Stick a hedge trimmer on that then you could trim that hedge at meikleour http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/gallery/files/1/0/1/5/Meikleour-Beech-Hedge.jpg
  16. Theres good thinking no "visual pollution" unless you go up a storey. Would make an excellent underground garage as well.
  17. Would you reject him/her on a typo? No epxperience required! Joking aside good man for giving someone the chance of paid opportunity.
  18. Someone on ebay a while back sold designs were you stack em and build homes out of them. So I assume you can get round the condensation problem, I cannot imagine anyone liking corregated wallpapering! Also I think classic vehicle fanatics have rigged them with air con and de humidifiers.
  19. Does Mr Blair spend alot of time in bogs then? Our Stevie of course not his Tonyness.
  20. Yes this issue of showmen was brought up on a hgv cpc course I did. The gist of it is the cunning of showmen, no fixed adode etc, etc. Its not worth the hassle of the authorities chasing them up and they are a very small minority. Instead pursue a transparent citizen. If they offend, know where they live. Lots of agricultural activity on the public roads is illegal. Such as telehandler with a trailer, telehandler with fert bags swinging on the front. Only 2.45 metre wide tractors or less only allowed up to 21 years of age.Insecure loads, weights and so on. It requires detailed understanding of the law around agricultural machines which seldom few officers have.
  21. I do it from time to time especially when on holiday. The sit on top type are very stable. I would probably try before you buy though. It is great fun and you can get close to some wildlife. A bit like treework really gives you lots of your own space.
  22. How many is that? I reckon for good flow with machinery 3 people is good if you have em. 60 is impressive. My yearly supply would be sorted by lunch.
  23. If its fresh cut I pile it. Then turn it with loader to air it. The problem with bagging immediatley I think is potential vermin activity. As I only do 20-30 cube a year, It not to bad. Plus double handling some want small bags others take the larger sacks.
  24. Did you report it Sam? If so what was the response? Any action taken as a result?
  25. Agreed even the BBC now repeat, recap. Last weeks previous episode of wildlife programs and patronize us as though we have proverbial goldfish memories. It must be great for those who don't remember 15minutes ago. I'd still be watching Stars wars back to back. A whole new film every time. Its lazy americanisation , no disrespect to Americans but repeating cuts costs of production. Its wallops of sound and clashes of vibrant colour, You have only to watch the brain dead tv thats made for kids. British kids tv is as bad now. I knew kids that were intelligent and went backwards through teletubbies. Their speech became teletubby because people laugh and thought it was cute, which made they worse. Shame as these programs could give the public a valuble insight to the realities of the hard work people do for a living. But the wannabe all action invincible superhero, Im a celebrity is a tired format. whoops sorry for slight derail, I feel better for that moan. Hope Extreme Ninja heroes logging is down to earth, Enjoy
