  1. 391 came out in 2010
  2. :thumbup:So which chain and how low the rakers ?
  3. They have a warehouse at Cothill,Plympton for ebay and internet sales. At Exeter St,Plymouth they have some popular units on the shelf and repair the older stuff , that can't be exchanged.
  4. Passive infer red sensors with manual override. Buy separate sensors and install low down across access points. install flood lights high up looking down so they cover more yard and don't dazzle.
  5. You're not working it hard enough. Bigger sprocket and lower rakers . Which chain and sprocket are you running ?
  6. 15" top of bar,15" under the bar and 12"around the bar mount and sprocket = 42" so 28 full chains from a 100 foot roll or £11.39 a chain.
  7. I was going to buy a Stihl 390 in 2010 but dealer had sold out. Bought 365 special instead, because had better power/weight than 391. Good decision , its been faultless.
  8. The Husky 365 and Stihl 390 were comparable farm/fire wood saws. Surely a 391 can manage more than a 16" bar. The 365 xt will run 20" in hard and 24" in softwood.

  10. Bargain - Tom from Chudleigh has put them on Gumtree for £400
  11. Get some skip
  12. Where's that spec savers free appointment voucher
  13. Post 5 line 6
  14. O.K I've whipped mine off. Total length 135mm,126mm of coils.
  15. You won't get more output by using 2 of the tractors spool valves. Sounds like the winch will need to be connected to power beyond to get the flow you require. A PTO pump requires a reservoir and 150-200 litres of oil so is not a cheap option. It may also prevent you from attaching what you want to the rear e.g 3 point linkage.
  16. The threads on a 5 litre " cube " are different to the stihl auto shut off spouts. I refill 5 litre oil " cubes " from 20/25 litre containers. The pull up spouts soon split , so I would be interested to know if anything else fitted.
  17. Is that copper wire nailed to the Ash (my guess) tree ?
  18. Sounds like you only need CS30 (Maintenance + crosscut) without assessment. CS31 is fell small tree. Should only be 1 or 2 days and £200 ish.
  19. The 40 and 45 share every thing but pot and piston. My 40 has a 3 clutch shoes and spring is about 150mm fitted but not engaged. part number 504 21 00-16 according to my parts pdf. 120mm would mean about 25% stretch - looks about right but could be a pig to fit.
  20. And a wife beater.
  21. You haven't been coveting her ass Pete ?
  22. My thaughts exactly. Don't need chain oil for hedge trimming and strimming etc Decant chain oil into used 5 litre can.
  23. I accept your point about LP being taller than RS - its very noticeable if you put them side by side and explains why Stihl recommend a smaller (5.2mm) file for 3/8 chain. However LP and LG are both round ground chisel and it must be difficult to grind the LP's drivelink down with the raker in the way.
  24. Why start with LP chain and grind the bumps off the drivelinks ? Wouldn't your start with LG or RS ?

Tried to put in an order last night but got stuck in a loop between checkout and paypal. Never had a problem with previous orders , which all arrived next working day.
