    Stihl ms 181c-be

135MAN - I'll explain this post as you are new to the forum. The B in C-BE means that the chain tension can be adjusted with out tools. However I've found it requires more adjustment than the conventional arrangement.Others have found they soon start slipping with constant use. The 35cc MS211 is the same weight as the 32cc MS181 but more power. So don't buy C-BE, buy cc's
  3. According to the 2002/3 catalogue , the 55,357xp,359 and 362xp could run 325 or 3/8 chain. Both bars were small mount with powermatch type bars only available in 3/8. Was there ever a large mount option on the 362xp in the U.K ?
  4. 9x.325" sprocket,11" x 58 gauge Prolite bar and Stihl RS chain
  5. 3 of these trestles with 5 10 foot scaffold boards. Did a 20/21 foot high hedge , last week, with kombi trimmer, pruner and 1 meter extension.Good job the inside was only 5 foot high(but 8 foot wide) or I would never have reached the top.
  6. Yes , I bet you are. Some of the other News on that website - Man's genitals stolen during trip to Thailand. Kim Jong Ung bans peanuts in North Korea

    Could you help?

Is it possible that bad fuel is affecting all 3 saws ?
  8. :thumbup1:About 900mm for me .(or my P.F on 2 pallets)
  9. Yes that's looks 20% ,30% would be about right. This would enable a longer , thinner, more flexible hinge for the same volume of holding wood.
  10. We haven't seen the tree. Assuming no lean or weighting issues - I would recommend a deeper gob so that the hinge was nearer the centre of gravity of the tree.(I'm too tight to buy 2 Hi-lift wedges)
  11. Looks like its made from Larch rails.
  12. http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4173/newbitmapimageux.jpg 576873002 for 562xp
  13. Just bought 900 Litres at 43.88 pence.
  14. That's only robing Peter to pay Paul. Green energy is expensive and only profitable because of the feed in tarrif. Europe tells us we must produce green energy to offset the carbon produced burning fossil fuels importing food etc. If we taxed aviation and marine fuel (instead of subsidising it ),food would be more expensive but we could grow more of our own.
  15. I was going to post this but assumed Hardyspicer had not used a chainsaw before December 1998 as he was only 2 or 3 years old.
  16. I put this on the 241 thread but it seems more appropriate here. Stihl PS Vs 325
  17. I had some 91SG in the 80's and it really put me off Lo-pro. But watch these 241's on stihl chain - 325x1.6mm RS against 3/8x1.3mm PS The Lo-pro is cutting 4 cookies to the 325's 3.
  18. Managed to squeeze a 115 Ah 065 into my Defender - not failed yet. Any 100 Ah tractor battery will fit quite easy and be a big improvement on the standard 75Ah.
  19. How is old Jonny ? I haven't seen him hacking over this way lately.
