  1. You drove through my place at 9.20 this morning. Have you tried David Mortimer at Morleigh ? He has an old rack they use with a traction engine at local shows. Hopefully he'll have something more portable or know someone who has.
  2. That's the ones 503 71 97-01 is the standard outside dog (If you want a matching pair that doesn't puncture all your fuel cans)
  3. You seem to be a bit confused. Try breaking it down to 2 separate choices. Do you want all round (type C) protection or front only (type A) protection ? Do you want to wear trousers or chaps ? Chaps are usually called seatless trousers since they were required to be joined together at the front. I wore Oregon chaps for years but modern trousers are much lighter and easier to work in when not on the saw. The Husqvarna classic trousers that I linked you to are fine with chainsaw wellies unlike some "climbing" trousers that gather at the ankle.
  4. Probably bent by trying to undo the clutch without a piston stop.
  5. Obviously not a Stihl dealer because there chaps are type C. How about type A trousers with rear vents ? Waist trousers, Classic - Protective equipment and Workwear

    325 to 3/8

My original S-D bar (and 1990's Dolmar replacement) , are wider bars than K095 with smaller adjuster holes. The Oregon bar selector lists K095 mount for the 116Si. K153 appears to be Large mount. Husky small mount bars seem to fit O.K The bigger holes on K095 will allow fitment to other saws aswell as small mount Husky and small mount Dolmar. My "Wildcat" is a 1984 56cc 116.
  13. Best price on the farming forum lately is 47p/litre.

    325 to 3/8

If it was all about chain speed they would be running 8x404:001_rolleyes: I sometimes run my dolly on 9x325 with a 15" pixel bar and chain.:thumbup1:Must get some 50 guage RS My 365 spends most of its time on 8x3/8 with 15"bar and RS chain. Where can you get a D009 in 325 ? I was thinking would have to change the nose sprocket on a 3/8 bar to 325.
  15. Husqvarna CLUTCH DRUM ASSY - 5782571-01 I can't confirm this with another source - maybe because Oregon don't make a 3/8 lo pro rim
  16. A Husqvarna 5782571-01 is supposed to fit 135 and 140. So would an Oregon 19117 fit ?

    325 to 3/8

What saw did the speed cutter at the APF have ? I'm guessing it was bigger than a 560 and he was running 3/8 pitch with lowered depth gauges and needed the higher profile 3/8 cutters for chip flow. With a 560 I would stick with .325 and run 8 or 9 tooth sprocket. 3/8 may give a faster chain speed but 9 pin is 9 drivelinks which is more cutters per engine revolution. First you need to know what sprocket you have - probably a 2 piece " power mate " type sprocket with a separate clutch drum and drive rim. There are 2 sizes of rim sprocket available for this saw with different sized drive splines - small 7 and standard 7. The small 7 will take 7x325,8x325 and 7x3/8 rim sprockets. The standard 7 will take 7x3/8,8x3/8 and 9x325. Assuming you have a 7x325 drive rim your first thing to try is a 8x325 rim. If that is too slow change the clutch to standard 7 and use a 9x325 rim.
  18. Shaft needs to be between 25mm and an inch - my FS56 was to small.
  19. Won't a 026 bar fit ? All you need is a 0.325" rim.
  20. Just had a look on Oregon site and it only has the 560xp listed. Both 7 spline small and 7 spline standard clutch drums are available. You have discovered these also fit the 550xp. This will enable 7,8,9 pin in 325 and 7,8 in 3/8. Don't think you can get 9x325 in 7 spline small .
  21. I take it your clutch drum is a standard 7 spline . I find it hard to believe FRJ cannot find you a 7x3/8 rim. I'm sure Rob D can supply you an Oregon 68210 Your choice of 7 or 8 pin may depend on which fits the number of links on the chain . 9x3/8 is for racing saws and will be hard to find.
  22. The ebay link was just an example to show that the 261 and 291 might use the same sprocket. Take both saws apart and see if the sprockets are inter changeable. Personally I would go down the rim sprocket route so I could run 7x325,8x325 and 7x3/8.
