  1. Willow reduction at a College boathouse today. Lots of fractured, hanging branches within the crown. Almost before picture - after about an hours work removing some of the broken branches. Afterwards, just before it peeed down. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. It's not sunny here. Cold, windy with spots of rain. Got to reduce this Willow. Quite a few major wind damage fractures of the river side. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. I last practiced this too many years ago when everyone on the course was using DRT and prussik. Now that we have hitch climbers, wrenches, zigzags, etc, if i ever had to rescue I may lose valuable seconds figuring out what to attach to what. Guess it's just harness to harness and dis attach the casualty. I would like to practice it at a rec climb this year. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Does anyone know the release date? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. "Charms"! It is the best game in the world! I don't agree with the comment that there's no cheating in Rugby. Believe me, there is - I played it competitively for 15 years but it's not as blatant as the over acted swan dives or the rolling round holding your face after a ball is kicked at your legs! Football is a easy game to play. With a ball and jumpers you can have a kick around in break time at school and most of the time go back in with uniform in tact. Thats why it's poplar. It's also uncomplicated. With the exception of one off-side rule that some people find hard to understand, it is a very simple game - I heard that there is more rules in rugby to govern the lineout than there is in the whole of football. I think that football's an ok sport. The things i really don't like about the game are: The cheesy acting. The abuse to the officials. The ridicules wages that are demanded at top level. And the crowd violence. If you don't think it's there anymore then take the separating fences out and send the policemen home and see what happens. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Yes, did wonder if there should be a rubber bung but didn't get time to look in the parts manual. Wonder how it could have come out (if it was ever in there) as I've never had that section apart and theres not much room for it to slip out. I'll get it over to you some time to see what you think should be done. Cheers, Ed
  7. Just been trying to find out why the body of my 441 moves too much when pressure is on the bar. Checked AV's which don't seem too bad and then noticed this. Looks like part of the plastic missing (extends from the rear handle section) and a chunk missing from the metal on the saw body. Anything you can do Spud?
  8. Took Rich2484's old Rizzini out for 100clays this afternoon. It's getting used quite a bit now. Thanks again Rich.
  9. Well done Adam, I'm 4 behind you but I did join two months after you. Does take a while for them to build up.
  10. Screw them all the way in (clockwise), then 1 turn out (anticlockwise).

Just bought it. I prefer this colour scheme to Tapatalk. I also like the option of going straight to first post, unread or oldest post when you click on a tread.
  12. Had to do a job end to last year where we had be there ready to cut pre 7am on a Sunday morning. It was a busy route into Cambridge and extremely close to a large roundabout. Would have been a nightmare midweek, even with traffic management. Unlikely the only complaint we got was from a neighbour at 11:00 just as we were packed up to go. I did see a program a while ago when they stopped builders working on a bank holiday monday which i think is classed the same as a Sunday.
  13. I was a fan of the MS260. Dad didn't have any problems with his 261 for the several months before it got nicked BUT i've recently bought a 50 & 60cc Husky machines and I think there awesome.

Welcome to Arbtalk Truncator. Have you seen the thread "Has anyone used a Truncator?" - have a search for it.
  15. I think that the plan is Sudbury.
  16. Lol - It's my universal state. If I panned the camera round the "office" you'd think i've just been burgled.
  17. Lol - did you used to be an engineer at Enron?
  18. Paperwork unfortunately. A last minute tax return again.
  19. I'm there. I'll be mostly drinking Aspen....sorry, Aspall's.
  20. Is there no Celebration of Trees show at Capel Manor this year? Not that I would bother with that one any more - unless the Arbtalk axe throwing will be there.
  21. Agree with most of the comments here. I'd say it may be a good tool for a small scale firewood merchant. A bit OTT for an own-wood logger and certainly not up to large scale processors but i reckon with one of these and a compact tractor with loader, as they use, I could process faster than my dad's current method of wheel barrow and circular saw. I would definitely extend those cups so you could fit more on, along as the subframe could take it.
  22. Just came across these - looks interesting. Prices range up to £294 for their largest model. Anyone got any practical experience of them?
  23. Did one earlier in the year on Madingley Rd and a lot of work around that time in he Colleges along Grange Road.
  24. Crafts way. The trees start just after Truffle way on the left. Theres a grass verge where you can park and take a walk.
  25. Theres a belt of trees that run between Bar Hill and Dry Dryton. Some nice learner trees in there. It's used a bit by dog walkers but we shouldn't get disturbed. Yes, pre-ordered the zigzag. I mail order if I need thing quick, mostly from FR Jones. The closest drives to see before you buy are either Landmark Trading or BTS.
