  1. "Magic cream" (Germoline) sounds like it would do the trick!
  2. Nice one thank you!!
  3. Just do the basic service. That is free, or was when I signed up to it. You can also do a junk-mail prevention service although that won't stop Royal Mail filling your letterbox with unaddressed letters to "the occupier".
  4. Didn't notice any actual working bits as only caught sight at last second.
  5. Anyone off here responsible for the 8foot Big Ben carved from a tree stump on the left side of the A272, coming into Wisborough Green from the Petersfield side? I only glanced at it briefly from the window but was impressed! Sorry, I didn't manage a photo!
  6. It works. I have used it successfully before. I heard that metal piston stops could damage the piston if the clutch is too tight and you crank it too hard. I don't know whether that is bullcrap or not but sounds plausible.
  7. You should have gone to your English class, pmsl.
  8. Good idea! Gonna have to give that a go with a pile of pop!
  9. Trees once in woodland now on woodland edge after building of new houses, and subsequent stresses from the development?
  10. Scanned out that airfield for putting on a rave about ten years ago. Farm cottages dotted all over it soon put that idea in the bin. That was the beginning, and ending, of my rave organisation. trufax
  11. Yeah, experienced at doing this twice. Hope he gets the book thrown at him. Part of me wants to feel sympathy for what he has done, because he's probably a mess now, but I can't.
  12. If those tripwires on the gun are linked to those criss-crossing those on your avatar, I think you might have gone a little over the top. Must be like Mousetrap in your yard, only lethal.
  13. BBC News - Right to self-defence in homes to be 'much clearer' It's okay. Ken Clarke says you can get as stabby as you like if someone is robbing you up. Can see that going all wrong.
  14. Matty, Probably a bit late but we use M+S Mowers in Hedge End. 28, Botley Rd, Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire SO30 2HE Tel: 01489 799551 They are a friendly bunch, on Hampshire's books. You'll probably get invited to a lawnmower party though
  15. Where do people think they end up? Gets right on my tits. Constantly pulling them off our fences and out of our hedges. You can see their remains from a mile off, literally. There is no way they can be justified.
  16. Jumped in first few times (1999/2000 if I remember right), then the big fence went up, paid for a few years up until the fallow year somewhere in the mid 2000's. Decided not to bother again as lineups had been getting rubbisher and rubbisher. Changed my mind last year and decided to go, got my ticket all sorted, was actually proper looking forward to it, took the dog out on the Tuesday night for one last walk before I head off, bang... dog killed by a car. Couldn't face going anymore and didn't want to leave my wife at home alone. Sat and watched it on the telly while all my mates basked in the sunshine. Got an unhealthy Pet Shop Boys habit and my first tattoo. Sold my ticket on the Thursday afternoon to a chancer who made it in. Couldn't be bothered this year. I assumed it would be rubbish weather too as last year was so good. Bit cheesed off will have to wait another 2 years to go again, so will have been about 8 years between festivals. Highlights of past were seeing, in no particular order: Leftfield Orbital Underworld Cypress Hill Skunk Anansie Hole Sound systems dotted around playing banging jungle, techno and gabber (the current Shangri-la setup seems to be filled with breaks and house, having said that, Randall is up there, and MC Ribbz is on the lineup too, dunno who he'll be MC'ing for though as other people on that days lineup don't seem relevant). Miserable experiences: Ummm... think it's always been pucka. Here's to 2013, subject to the northern hemisphere not being totally irradiated by then
  17. Twin axle, 2.2m3 to the top of the solid level on there. That is only split though, not sawn, not stacked, just split and lobbed in. Don't know how long I could keep that up for though. We aren't efficient enough yet to dedicate several days to processing and only tend to do odd amounts here and there. This year will hopefully be different though.
  18. APC

    ebay heads up

Wonder where he chorred that lot from.
  19. Think I went to Tramps, or somat like that, around 2001. It was crap.
  20. Why should I pay for your services, subsequently subsidising your pension? Please can you give me a discount for this.
  21. Is Steve Jeffreys still at KMC?
  22. Ours seem a lot less affected by leaf-miner this year than last year and year before. They are beginning to show signs but this time last year they looked like they'd bypassed summer and gone straight to autumn. One has what appears to be pseudonomas syringae but appears quite healthy apart from that. I haven't found any evidence in our rhodie to confirm that P. syringae may be at work (Forestry Commission said they wanted to see some form of both in the rhodie before they would be interested, or something). Which brings me onto the question of what sort of distance should I be looking for evidence of this on rhododendron? We have bare rhodie in the parkland; I've covered about 75 metres from the tree in question, but how far should I be extending looking for it? 100 metres? 200 metres? 1,000 metres?
  23. My mate from Upton Road had to bring her washing in and rewash it Hardtimes.
  24. Where did you get the 740 acre figure from?
